श्रीमान्समुदितस्तत्र योजनानां शतं समम् । गुहास्तत्र विचेतव्या प्रयत्नेन प्लवङ्गमाः ॥ ४-४२-२६

'The mountain extends evenly to a stretch of a hundred yojanas.There are caves in the mountain where you may look for her with due effort. ॥ 4-42-26॥

चतुर्भागे समुद्रस्य चक्रवान्नाम पर्वतः । तत्र चक्रं सहस्रारं निर्मितं विश्वकर्मणा ॥ ४-४२-२७

Then move to the fourth part (of the western sea) where you will see a mountain called Chakravan occupying a quarter part of the sea.You will find there a thousand-spiked wheel built by Vishvakarma. ॥ 4-42-27॥

तत्र पञ्चजनं हत्वा हयग्रीवं च दानवम् । आजहार ततश्चक्रं शङ्खं च पुरुषोत्तमः ॥ ४-४२-२८

'It was there that the Supreme Lord Visnu, having slain Hayagriva and Panchajanam, recovered the discus and conch for himself. ॥ 4-42-28॥

तस्य सानुषु चित्रेषु विशालासु गुहासु च । रावण स्सह वैदेह्या मार्गितव्यस्तत स्ततः ॥ ४-४२-२९

'Look for Vaidehi and Ravana in the wide caves and colourful slopes of the (Chakravan) mountain. ॥ 4-42-29॥

योजनानां चतुष्षष्टिर्वराहो नाम पर्वतः । सुवर्णशृङ्गस्सुश्रीमा नगाधे वरुणालये ॥ ४-४२-३०

'Plunge deep down into the sea and you will see a goldenpeaked mountain called Varaha, the residence of Varuna.It is extended over sixty four yojanas in the sea. ॥ 4-42-30॥
