वसन्त्यग्निनिकाशानां घोराणां कामरूपिणाम् । पावकार्चिः प्रतीकाशास्समवेतास्सहस्रशः ॥ ४-४२-२१
- live there. They are terrific, blazing like fire who can assume any form. Collected together in thousands, and radiating like fire, they live there. ॥ 4-42-21॥

vasantyagninikAzAnAM ghorANAM kAmarUpiNAm । pAvakArciH pratIkAzAssamavetAssahasrazaH ॥ 4-42-21
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनात्यासादयितव्यास्ते वानरैर्भीमविक्रमैः । नादेयं च फलं तस्माद्देशात्किञ्चित् प्लवङ्गमैः ॥ ४-४२-२२
Even the very brave vanaras should not go close to them. O monkeys, you should not pluck any fruits from those woods - ॥ 4-43-22॥
english translation
nAtyAsAdayitavyAste vAnarairbhImavikramaiH । nAdeyaM ca phalaM tasmAddezAtkiJcit plavaGgamaiH ॥ 4-42-22
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदुरासदा हि ते वीरा स्सत्त्ववन्तो महाबलाः । फलमूलानि ते तत्र रक्षन्ते भीमविक्रमाः ॥ ४-४२-२३
- for courageous gandharvas protect the fruits of the trees. It is difficult to go there, for those heroes have frightening bravery. ॥ 4-43-23॥

durAsadA hi te vIrA ssattvavanto mahAbalAH । phalamUlAni te tatra rakSante bhImavikramAH ॥ 4-42-23
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्र यत्नश्च कर्तव्यो मार्गितव्या च जानकी । न हि तेभ्यो भयं किञ्चित्कपित्वमनुवर्तताम् ॥ ४-४२-२४
'Exert yourself in your search for Janaki. Indeed there will be no fear from them, if you behave like normal monkeys in a natural way. ॥ 4-42-24॥

tatra yatnazca kartavyo mArgitavyA ca jAnakI । na hi tebhyo bhayaM kiJcitkapitvamanuvartatAm ॥ 4-42-24
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्र वैढूर्यवर्णाभो वज्रसंस्थानसंस्थितः । नानाद्रुमलताकीर्णो वज्रो नाम महागिरिः ॥ ४-४२-२५
'(Beyond) there is a glorious mountain called Vajra of the colour of Vaidurya, hard as a diamond with different kinds of trees and vines. ॥ 4-42-25॥
