अथ प्रस्थाप्य सुग्रीवस्तान्हरीन्दक्षिणां दिशम् | अब्रवीन्मेघसङ्काशं सुषेणं नाम यूथपम् || ४-४२-१

After sending the monkeys in the southern direction, Sugriva said to the cloudlike troop leader called Sushena. [4-42-1]

King (Sugriva) went with folded hands to Tara's father, his fatherinlaw, of terrifying valour, offered salutation and said : - [4-42-2]

मरीचिपुत्रं मारीचमर्चिष्मन्तं महाकपिम् | वृतं कपिवरैश्शूरैर्महेन्द्रसदृशद्युतिम् || ४-४२-३

Sugriva spoke to the great lustrous monkey Archisman, son of the eminent sage Marichi, who was surrounded with best monkeys and glowing like Mahendra. [4-42-3]

बुद्धिविक्रमसम्पन्नं वैनतेयसमद्युतिम् | मरीचिपुत्रान्मारीचानर्चिर्मालान्महाबलान् || ४-४२-४

He possessed the wisdom and bravery and was comparable to Vaineteya (Garuda) in lustre. He also spoke to the other sons of Maricha, called Marichas, who were very strong and known as Archismalas (garlands of continuous glow). [4-42-4]
