तस्यासीनं नगस्याग्रे मलयस्य महौजसम् । द्रक्ष्यथाऽदित्यसङ्काशमगस्त्यमृषिसत्तमम् ॥ ४-४१-१६
'Dwelling on the top of that Malaya mountain you will find celebrated sage Agastya, resplendent like the Sun. ॥ 4-41-16॥
english translation
tasyAsInaM nagasyAgre malayasya mahaujasam । drakSyathA'dityasaGkAzamagastyamRSisattamam ॥ 4-41-16
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततस्तेनाभ्यनुज्ञाताः प्रसन्नेन महात्मना । ताम्रपर्णीं ग्राहजुष्टां तरिष्यथ महानदीम् ॥ ४-४१-१७
'You will then come cross the great river Tamraparni infested with alligators. Cross it with the permission of the sage pleased (with you). ॥ 4-41-17॥
english translation
tatastenAbhyanujJAtAH prasannena mahAtmanA । tAmraparNIM grAhajuSTAM tariSyatha mahAnadIm ॥ 4-41-17
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसा चन्दनवनैर्दिव्यै प्रच्छन्ना द्वीपशालिनी । कान्तेव युवति: कान्तां समुद्रमवगाहते ॥ ४-४१-१८
'With its wonderful islands covered with lovely sandalwood forests, the river mingles with the ocean just as a young beloved meets her lover. ॥ 4-41-18॥
english translation
sA candanavanairdivyai pracchannA dvIpazAlinI । kAnteva yuvati: kAntAM samudramavagAhate ॥ 4-41-18
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततो हेममयं दिव्यं मुक्तामणिविभूषितम् । युक्तं कवाटं पाण्ड्यानां गता द्रक्ष्यथ वानराः ॥ ४-४१-१९
'O monkeys leaving that river, you will find encrusted with pearls the wonderful golden gate of the city of Pandyas (modern Madurai). ॥ 4-41-19॥

tato hemamayaM divyaM muktAmaNivibhUSitam । yuktaM kavATaM pANDyAnAM gatA drakSyatha vAnarAH ॥ 4-41-19
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततस्समुद्रमासाद्य सम्प्रधार्यार्थनिश्चयम् । अगस्त्येनान्तरे तत्र सागरे विनिवेशितः ॥ ४-४१-२०
'Then on reaching the sea shore, decide the course of action. Sage Agastya has set up (between the moat of the city and and the sea) . - ॥ 4-41-20॥
