आर्तस्य हृतदारस्य पुरुषं पुरुषान्तरात् । वचनं मर्षणीयं ते राघवस्य महात्मनः ॥ ४-३२-१६
'The message sent by a man (Rama) who is in distress, and is deprived of his wife should be accepted even if they are harsh since he is a great self (who has rendered you help). ॥ 4-32-16॥
english translation
Artasya hRtadArasya puruSaM puruSAntarAt । vacanaM marSaNIyaM te rAghavasya mahAtmanaH ॥ 4-32-16
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकृतापराधस्य हि ते नान्यत्पश्याम्यहं क्षमम् । अन्तरेणाञ्जलिं बद्ध्वा लक्ष्मणस्य प्रसादनात् ॥ ४-३२-१७
'In these circumstances the best way is seeking apology from Lakshmana with folded hands. I do not see any way other than this. ॥ 4-32-17॥
english translation
kRtAparAdhasya hi te nAnyatpazyAmyahaM kSamam । antareNAJjaliM baddhvA lakSmaNasya prasAdanAt ॥ 4-32-17
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनियुक्तैर्मन्त्रिभिर्वाच्यो ह्यवश्यं पार्थिवो हितम् । अत एव भयं त्यक्त्वा ब्रवीम्यवधृतं वचः ॥ ४-३२-१८
'The counsellors and ministers appointed by a king should certainly give good advice, without fear. This I tell you since I have faith in my words. ॥ 4-32-18॥
english translation
niyuktairmantribhirvAcyo hyavazyaM pArthivo hitam । ata eva bhayaM tyaktvA bravImyavadhRtaM vacaH ॥ 4-32-18
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअभिक्रुद्धस्समर्थो हि चापमुद्यम्य राघवः । सदेवासुरगन्धर्वं वशे स्थापयितुं जगत् ॥ ४-३२-१९
'If Raghava is highly infuriated he is capable to keep the world under his control along with gods, demons, gandharva-s just on hitching up his bow, isn't it! ॥ 4-32-19॥
english translation
abhikruddhassamartho hi cApamudyamya rAghavaH । sadevAsuragandharvaM vaze sthApayituM jagat ॥ 4-32-19
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन स क्षमः कोपयितुं यः प्रसाद्यः पुनर्भवेत् । पूर्वोपकारं स्मरता कृतज्ञेन विशेषतः ॥ ४-३२-२०
'He who deserves propitiation, should not be offended, more so by a grateful man, remembering the help received by him earlier. ॥ 4-32-20॥
english translation
na sa kSamaH kopayituM yaH prasAdyaH punarbhavet । pUrvopakAraM smaratA kRtajJena vizeSataH ॥ 4-32-20
