यथा प्रतिज्ञातमिदं नरेन्द्र कृतं त्वया दृष्टफलं च कर्म । ममाद्य भोगेषु नरेन्द्रपुत्र मनो निवृत्तं सहजीवितेन ॥ ४-२४-४
- 'Your majesty you have struck down Vali as promised and the consequences of your action are seen now. O prince, however, my mind is not interested in the enjoyment of pleasures. I have no interest in life. [4-24-4]
