यथा प्रतिज्ञातमिदं नरेन्द्र कृतं त्वया दृष्टफलं च कर्म | ममाद्य भोगेषु नरेन्द्रपुत्र मनो निवृत्तं सहजीवितेन || ४-२४-४

sanskrit

- 'Your majesty you have struck down Vali as promised and the consequences of your action are seen now. O prince, however, my mind is not interested in the enjoyment of pleasures. I have no interest in life. [4-24-4]

english translation

yathA pratijJAtamidaM narendra kRtaM tvayA dRSTaphalaM ca karma | mamAdya bhogeSu narendraputra mano nivRttaM sahajIvitena || 4-24-4
