भगवांस्तदभिप्रेत्य द्वयोः प्रियचिकीर्षया । उभयोराविशद्गेहमुभाभ्यां तदलक्षितः ।। १०-८६-२६ ।।

sanskrit

Wanting to please them both, the Lord accepted both their invitations. Thus He simultaneously went to both homes, and neither could see Him entering the other’s house. ।। 10-86-26 ।।

english translation

उन दोनों को प्रसन्न करने की इच्छा से, भगवान ने उनके दोनों निमंत्रण स्वीकार कर लिये। इस प्रकार वह एक साथ दोनों घरों में गया, और कोई भी उसे दूसरे के घर में प्रवेश करते हुए नहीं देख सका। ।। १०-८६-२६ ।।

sanskrit

When King Bahulāśva, a descendant of Janaka, saw Lord Kṛṣṇa approaching his house from a distance with the sages, who were somewhat fatigued from the journey, he immediately arranged to have seats of honor brought out for them. ।। 10-86-27 ।।

english translation

जब जनक के वंशज राजा बहुलाश्व ने दूर से भगवान कृष्ण को ऋषियों के साथ अपने घर की ओर आते देखा, जो यात्रा से कुछ थके हुए थे, तो उन्होंने तुरंत उनके लिए सम्मान के आसन की व्यवस्था की। ।। १०-८६-२७ ।।

प्रवृद्धभक्त्या उद्धर्षहृदयास्राविलेक्षणः । नत्वा तदङ्घ्रीन् प्रक्षाल्य तदपो लोकपावनीः ।। १०-८६-२८ ।।

A-fter they were all comfortably seated, the wise King, his heart overflowing with joy and his eyes clouded by tears, bowed down to them and washed their feet with intense devotion. Taking the wash water, which could purify the entire world, he sprinkled it on his head and the heads of his family members. ।। 10-86-28 ।।

english translation

जब वे सभी आराम से बैठ गए, तो बुद्धिमान राजा, उसका हृदय खुशी से भर गया और उसकी आँखें आँसुओं से घिर गईं, उन्हें प्रणाम किया और गहन भक्ति से उनके पैर धोए। धोने का वह जल, जो समस्त संसार को पवित्र कर सकता था, लेकर उसने अपने सिर तथा अपने परिवार के सदस्यों के सिर पर छिड़का। ।। १०-८६-२८ ।।

Then he worshiped all those great lords by offering them fragrant sandalwood paste, flower garlands, fine clothing and ornaments, incense, lamps, arghya and cows and bulls. ।। 10-86-29 ।।

फिर उन्होंने उन सभी महान देवताओं की सुगंधित चंदन का लेप, फूलों की माला, उत्तम वस्त्र और आभूषण, धूप, दीप, अर्घ्य और गाय-बैल चढ़ाकर पूजा की। ।। १०-८६-२९ ।।

When they had eaten to their full satisfaction, for their further pleasure the King began to speak slowly and in a gentle voice as he held Lord Viṣṇu’s feet in his lap and happily massaged them. ।। 10-86-30 ।।

english translation

जब उन्होंने पूरी संतुष्टि के साथ भोजन कर लिया, तो उनकी अधिक खुशी के लिए राजा ने धीरे-धीरे और धीमी आवाज में बोलना शुरू किया और उन्होंने भगवान विष्णु के पैरों को अपनी गोद में रखा और खुशी से उनकी मालिश की। ।। १०-८६-३० ।।
