श्रीशुक उवाच इत्थं शरत्स्वच्छजलं पद्माकरसुगन्धिना । न्यविशद्वायुना वातं सगोगोपालकोऽच्युतः ॥ १०-२१-१ ॥
Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Thus the Vṛndāvana forest was filled with transparent autumnal waters and cooled by breezes perfumed with the fragrance of lotus flowers growing in the clear lakes. The infallible Lord, accompanied by His cows and cowherd boyfriends, entered that Vṛndāvana forest. ॥ 10-21-1 ॥

श्री शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने कहा : इस तरह वृन्दावन का जंगल स्वच्छ शारदीय जलाशयों से पूरित था और स्वच्छ जलाशयों में खिले कमल पुष्पों की सुगंधवाली वायु से शीतल था। अपनी गौवों तथा ग्वालसखाओं समेत अच्युत भगवान् ने उस जंगल में प्रवेश किया। ॥ १०-२१-१ ॥

कुसुमितवनराजिशुष्मिभृङ्गद्विजकुलघुष्टसरःसरिन्महीध्रम् । मधुपतिरवगाह्य चारयन् गाः सह पशुपालबलश्चुकूज वेणुम् ॥ १०-२१-२ ॥
The lakes, rivers and hills of Vṛndāvana resounded with the sounds of maddened bees and flocks of birds moving about the flowering trees. In the company of the cowherd boys and Balarāma, Madhupati [Śrī Kṛṣṇa] entered that forest, and while herding the cows He began to vibrate His flute. ॥ 10-21-2 ॥

वृन्दावन के सरोवर, नदियाँ तथा पर्वत पुष्पित वृक्षों पर मँडराते उन्मत्त भौंरों तथा पक्षियों के समूहों से गुंजरित हो रहे थे। मधुपति (श्रीकृष्ण) ने ग्वालबालों तथा बलराम के संग उस जंगल में प्रवेश किया और गौवें चराते हुए वे अपनी वंशी बजाने लगे। ॥ १०-२१-२ ॥

तद्व्रजस्त्रिय आश्रुत्य वेणुगीतं स्मरोदयम् । काश्चित्परोक्षं कृष्णस्य स्वसखीभ्योन्ववर्णयन् ॥ १०-२१-३ ॥
When the young ladies in the cowherd village of Vraja heard the song of Kṛṣṇa’s flute, which arouses the influence of Cupid, some of them privately began describing Kṛṣṇa’s qualities to their intimate friends. ॥ 10-21-3 ॥

जब व्रजग्राम की तरुण स्त्रियों ने कृष्ण की वंशी का गीत सुना, जो काम उत्पन्न करनेवाला था, तो उनमें से कुछ स्त्रियाँ अपनी सखियों से एकान्त में कृष्ण के गुणों का बखान करने लगीं। ॥ १०-२१-३ ॥

तद्वर्णयितुमारब्धाः स्मरन्त्यः कृष्णचेष्टितम् । नाशकन् स्मरवेगेन विक्षिप्तमनसो नृप ॥ १०-२१-४ ॥
The cowherd girls began to speak about Kṛṣṇa, but when they remembered His activities, O King, the power of Cupid disturbed their minds, and thus they could not speak. ॥ 10-21-4 ॥

गोपियाँ कृष्ण के विषय में बातें करने लगीं किन्तु जब उन्होंने कृष्ण के कार्यकलापों का स्मरण किया तो हे राजन्, काम ने उनके मनों को विचलित कर दिया जिससे वे कुछ भी न कह पाईं। ॥ १०-२१-४ ॥

बर्हापीडं नटवरवपुः कर्णयोः कर्णिकारं बिभ्रद्वासः कनककपिशं वैजयन्तीं च मालाम् । रन्ध्रान् वेणोरधरसुधया पूरयन् गोपवृन्दैर्वृन्दारण्यं स्वपदरमणं प्राविशद्गीतकीर्तिः ॥ १०-२१-५ ॥
Wearing a peacock-feather ornament upon His head, blue karṇikāra flowers on His ears, a yellow garment as brilliant as gold, and the Vaijayantī garland, Lord Kṛṣṇa exhibited His transcendental form as the greatest of dancers as He entered the forest of Vṛndāvana, beautifying it with the marks of His footprints. He filled the holes of His flute with the nectar of His lips, and the cowherd boys sang His glories. ॥ 10-21-5 ॥

अपने सिर पर मोरपंख का आभूषण, अपने कानों में नीले कर्णिकार फूल, स्वर्ण जैसा चमचमाता पीला वस्त्र तथा वैजयन्ती माला धारण किये भगवान् कृष्ण ने सर्वश्रेष्ठ नर्तक का दिव्य रूप प्रदर्शित करते हुए वृन्दावन के वन में प्रवेश करके अपने पदचिन्हों से इसे रमणीक बना दिया। उन्होंने अपने होंठों के अमृत से अपनी वंशी के छेदों को भर दिया और ग्वालबालों ने उनके यश का गान किया। ॥ १०-२१-५ ॥
