इति वेणुरवं राजन् सर्वभूतमनोहरम् । श्रुत्वा व्रजस्त्रियः सर्वा वर्णयन्त्योऽभिरेभिरे ॥ १०-२१-६ ॥
O King, when the young ladies in Vraja heard the sound of Kṛṣṇa’s flute, which captivates the minds of all living beings, they all embraced one another and began describing it. ॥ 10-21-6 ॥

हे राजन्, जब व्रज की युवतियों ने सभी प्राणियों के मन को मोह लेने वाली कृष्ण की वंशी की ध्वनि सुनी तो वे एक-दूसरे का आलिंगन कर-करके उसका बखान करने लगीं। ॥ १०-२१-६ ॥

गोप्य ऊचुः अक्षण्वतां फलमिदं न परं विदामः सख्यः पशूननु विवेशयतोर्वयस्यैः । वक्त्रं व्रजेशसुतयोरनुवेणुजुष्टं यैर्वा निपीतमनुरक्तकटाक्षमोक्षम् ॥ १०-२१-७ ॥
The cowherd girls said: O friends, those eyes that see the beautiful faces of the sons of Mahārāja Nanda are certainly fortunate. As these two sons enter the forest, surrounded by Their friends, driving the cows before Them, They hold Their flutes to Their mouths and glance lovingly upon the residents of Vṛndāvana. For those who have eyes, we think there is no greater object of vision. ॥ 10-21-7 ॥

गोपियों ने कहा : सखियो, जो आँखें नन्द महाराज के दोनों पुत्रों के सुन्दर मुखमण्डलों का दर्शन करती हैं, वे निश्चय ही भाग्यशाली हैं। ज्योंही वे दोनों अपने मित्रों से घिरकर तथा गौवों को अपने आगे आगे करके जंगल में प्रवेश करते हैं, तो वे अपने मुख में अपनी वंशियाँ धारण करके वृन्दावनवासियों पर प्यार-भरी चितवन से देखते हैं। जो आँखोंवाले हैं उनके लिए हमारी समझ में देखने की इससे बड़ी अन्य कोई वस्तु नहीं है। ॥ १०-२१-७ ॥

चूतप्रवालबर्हस्तबकोत्पलाब्जमालानुपृक्तपरिधानविचित्रवेषौ । मध्ये विरेजतुरलं पशुपालगोष्ठ्यां रङ्गे यथा नटवरौ क्व च गायमानौ ॥ १०-२१-८ ॥
Dressed in a charming variety of garments, upon which Their garlands rest, and decorating Themselves with peacock feathers, lotuses, lilies, newly grown mango sprouts and clusters of flower buds, Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma shine forth magnificently among the assembly of cowherd boys. They look just like the best of dancers appearing on a dramatic stage, and sometimes They sing. ॥ 10-21-8 ॥

तरह तरह के आकर्षक परिधानों के ऊपर अपनी मालाएँ डाले और मोरपंख, कमल, कमलिनी, आम की कोंपलों तथा पुष्पकलियों के गुच्छों से अपने को अलंकृत किये हुए कृष्ण तथा बलराम ग्वालबालों की टोली में शोभायमान हो रहे हैं। वे नाटक-मंच पर प्रकट होनेवाले श्रेष्ठ नर्तकों की तरह दिख रहे हैं और कभी कभी वे गाते भी हैं। ॥ १०-२१-८ ॥

गोप्यः किमाचरदयं कुशलं स्म वेणुर्दामोदराधरसुधामपि गोपिकानाम् । भुङ्क्ते स्वयं यदवशिष्टरसं ह्रदिन्यो हृष्यत्त्वचोऽश्रु मुमुचुस्तरवो यथाऽऽर्यः ॥ १०-२१-९ ॥
My dear gopīs, what auspicious activities must the flute have performed to enjoy the nectar of Kṛṣṇa’s lips independently and leave only a taste for us gopīs, for whom that nectar is actually meant! The forefathers of the flute, the bamboo trees, shed tears of pleasure. His mother, the river on whose bank the bamboo was born, feels jubilation, and therefore her blooming lotus flowers are standing like hair on her body. ॥ 10-21-9 ॥

हे गोपियो, कृष्ण के अधरों का मुक्तरूप अमृतपान करने और हम गोपियों के हेतु जिनके लिए ही वास्तव में यह अमृत है केवल स्वादमात्र छोडऩे के लिए इस वंशी ने कौन-से शुभ-कृत्य किये होंगे। वंशी के बाप-दादे बाँस के वृक्षों ने हर्ष के अश्रु गिराये होंगे। जिस नदी के तट पर यह वृक्ष उत्पन्न हुआ होगा उस मातारूपी नदी ने हर्ष का अनुभव किया होगा; इसीलिए ये खिले हुए कमल के फूल उसके शरीर के रोमों की भाँति खड़े हुए हैं। ॥ १०-२१-९ ॥

वृन्दावनं सखि भुवो वितनोति कीर्तिं यद्देवकीसुतपदाम्बुजलब्धलक्ष्मि । गोविन्दवेणुमनु मत्तमयूरनृत्यं प्रेक्ष्याद्रिसान्वपरतान्यसमस्तसत्त्वम् ॥ १०-२१-१० ॥
O friend, Vṛndāvana is spreading the glory of the earth, having obtained the treasure of the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa, the son of Devakī. The peacocks dance madly when they hear Govinda’s flute, and when other creatures see them from the hilltops, they all become stunned. ॥ 10-21-10 ॥

हे सखी, देवकी पुत्र कृष्ण के चरणकमलों का कोष पाकर वृन्दावन पृथ्वी की कीर्ति को फैला रहा है। जब मोर गोविन्द की वंशी सुनते हैं, तो वे मस्त होकर नाचने लगते हैं और जब अन्य प्राणी उन्हें पर्वत की चोटी से इस तरह नाचते देखते हैं, तो वे सभी स्तब्ध रह जाते हैं। ॥ १०-२१-१० ॥
