पीत्वापः पादपाः पद्भिरासन् नानाऽऽत्ममूर्तयः । प्राक्क्षामास्तपसा श्रान्ता यथा कामानुसेवया ॥ १०-२०-२१ ॥
The trees had grown thin and dry, but after they drank the newly fallen rainwater through their feet, their various bodily features blossomed. Similarly, one whose body has grown thin and weak from austerity again exhibits his healthy bodily features upon enjoying the material objects gained through that austerity. ॥ 10-20-21 ॥
english translation
जो वृक्ष दुबले हो गए थे तथा सूख गये थे उनके शरीर के विभिन्न अंग अपनी जड़ों (पाँवों) से वर्षा का नया जल पाकर लहलहा उठे। इसी तरह तपस्या के कारण जिसका शरीर पतला और दुर्बल हो जाता है, वह पुन: उस तपस्या के माध्यम से प्राप्त भौतिक वस्तुओं का भोग करके स्वस्थ शरीरवाला दिखने लगता है। ॥ १०-२०-२१ ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptसरःस्वशान्तरोधःसु न्यूषुरङ्गापि सारसाः । गृहेष्वशान्तकृत्येषु ग्राम्या इव दुराशयाः ॥ १०-२०-२२ ॥
The cranes continued dwelling on the shores of the lakes, although the shores were agitated during the rainy season, just as materialistic persons with contaminated minds always remain at home, despite the many disturbances there. ॥ 10-20-22 ॥
english translation
वर्षाकाल में सरोवरों के तटों के विक्षुब्ध होने पर भी सारस पक्षी तटों पर रहते रहे जिस तरह दूषित मनवाले भौतिकतावादी व्यक्ति अनेक उत्पातों के बावजूद घरों पर ही रहते जाते हैं। ॥ १०-२०-२२ ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptजलौघैर्निरभिद्यन्त सेतवो वर्षतीश्वरे । पाखण्डिनामसद्वादैर्वेदमार्गाः कलौ यथा ॥ १०-२०-२३ ॥
When Indra sent forth his rains, the floodwaters broke through the irrigation dikes in the agricultural fields, just as in the Kali-yuga the atheists’ false theories break down the boundaries of Vedic injunctions. ॥ 10-20-23 ॥

जब इन्द्र ने अपनी वर्षा छोड़ भेजी तो बाढ़ के पानी से खेतों में सिंचाई के बाँध उसी तरह टूट गये जिस तरह कलियुग में नास्तिकों के सिद्धान्तों से वैदिक आदेशों की सीमाएँ टूट जाती हैं। ॥ १०-२०-२३ ॥

jalaughairnirabhidyanta setavo varSatIzvare । pAkhaNDinAmasadvAdairvedamArgAH kalau yathA ॥ 10-20-23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptव्यमुञ्चन् वायुभिर्नुन्ना भूतेभ्योऽथामृतं घनाः । यथाऽऽशिषो विश्पतयः काले काले द्विजेरिताः ॥ १०-२०-२४ ॥
The clouds, impelled by the winds, released their nectarean water for the benefit of all living beings, just as kings, instructed by their brāhmaṇa priests, dispense charity to the citizens. ॥ 10-20-24 ॥

वायु द्वारा प्रेरित बादलों ने सारे जीवों के लाभ हेतु अपना अमृत तुल्य जल उसी तरह विमुक्त किया जिस तरह राजागण अपने ब्राह्मण पुरोहितों के आदेशानुसार अपनी प्रजा में दान बाँटते हैं। ॥ १०-२०-२४ ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं वनं तद्वर्षिष्ठं पक्वखर्जुरजम्बुमत् । गोगोपालैर्वृतो रन्तुं सबलः प्राविशद्धरिः ॥ १०-२०-२५ ॥
When the Vṛndāvana forest had thus become resplendent, filled with ripe dates and jambu fruits, Lord Kṛṣṇa, surrounded by His cows and cowherd boyfriends and accompanied by Śrī Balarāma, entered that forest to enjoy. ॥ 10-20-25 ॥

जब वृन्दावन का जंगल पके खजूरों तथा जामुन के फलों से लदकर इस प्रकार शोभायमान था, तो भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण अपनी गौवों तथा ग्वालबालों से घिरकर एवं श्रीबलराम के साथ उस वन में आनन्द मनाने के लिए प्रविष्ट हुए। ॥ १०-२०-२५ ॥
