वृद्धान् बालान् स्त्रियो राजन् सर्वोपकरणानि च । अनस्स्वारोप्य गोपाला यत्ता आत्तशरासनाः ।। १०-११-३१ ।।

sanskrit

Keeping all the old men, women, children and household paraphernalia on the bullock carts and keeping all the cows in front, the cowherd men picked up their bows and arrows with great care and sounded bugles made of horn. ।। 10-11-31 ।।

english translation

सारे बूढ़ों, स्त्रियों, बालकों तथा घरेलू सामग्री को बैलगाडिय़ों में लाद कर एवं सारी गौवों को आगे करके, ग्वालों ने सावधानी से अपने अपने तीर-कमान ले लिये और सींग के बने बिगुल बजाये। ।। १०-११-३१ ।।

O King Parīkṣit, in this way, with bugles vibrating all around, the cowherd men, accompanied by their priests, began their journey. ।। 10-11-32 ।।

हे राजा परीक्षित, इस तरह चारों ओर बिगुल बज रहे थे तभी ग्वालों ने अपने पुरोहितों सहित अपनी यात्रा के लिए प्रस्थान किया। ।। १०-११-३२ ।।

गोप्यो रूढरथा नूत्नकुचकुङ्कुमकान्तयः । कृष्णलीला जगुः प्रीता निष्ककण्ठ्यः सुवाससः ।। १०-११-३३ ।।

sanskrit

The cowherd women, riding on the bullock carts, were dressed very nicely with excellent garments, and their bodies, especially their breasts, were decorated with fresh kuṅkuma powder. As they rode, they began to chant with great pleasure the pastimes of Kṛṣṇa. ।। 10-11-33 ।।

english translation

बैलगाडिय़ों में चढ़ी हुई गोपियाँ उत्तम से उत्तम वस्त्रों से सुसज्जित थीं और उनके शरीर, विशेषतया स्तन ताजे कुंकुम-चूर्ण से अलंकृत थे। बैलगाडिय़ों पर चढ़ते समय वे अत्यन्त हर्षपूर्वक कृष्ण की लीलाओं का कीर्तन करने लगीं। ।। १०-११-३३ ।।

Thus hearing about the pastimes of Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma with great pleasure, mother Yaśodā and Rohiṇīdevī, so as not to be separated from Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma for even a moment, got up with Them on one bullock cart. In this situation, they all looked very beautiful. ।। 10-11-34 ।।

english translation

इस तरह माता यशोदा तथा रोहिणीदेवी कृष्ण तथा बलराम की लीलाओं को बड़े हर्ष से सुनती हुईं, जिससे वे क्षण-भर के लिए भी उनसे वियुक्त न हों, एक बैलगाड़ी में उन दोनों के साथ चढ़ गईं। इस दशा में वे सभी अत्यन्त सुन्दर लग रहे थे। ।। १०-११-३४ ।।

In this way they entered Vṛndāvana, where it is always pleasing to live in all seasons. They made a temporary place to inhabit by placing their bullock carts around them in the shape of a half moon. ।। 10-11-35 ।।

english translation

इस तरह वे वृन्दावन में प्रविष्ट हुए जहाँ सभी ऋतुओं में रहना सुहावना लगता है। उन्होंने अपनी बैलगाडिय़ों से अर्धचन्द्राकार अर्धवृत्त बनाकर अपने रहने के लिए अस्थायी निवास बना लिया। ।। १०-११-३५ ।।
