श्रीशुक उवाच इत्यादिश्यामरगणान् प्रजापतिपतिर्विभुः । आश्वास्य च महीं गीर्भिः स्वधाम परमं ययौ ॥ १०-१-२६ ॥
Śukadeva Gosvāmī continued: After thus advising the demigods and pacifying mother earth, the very powerful Lord Brahmā, who is the master of all other Prajāpatis and is therefore known as Prajāpati-pati, returned to his own abode, Brahmaloka. ॥ 10-1-26 ॥

शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने आगे कहा : इस तरह देवताओं को सलाह देकर तथा माता पृथ्वी को आश्वस्त करते हुए अत्यन्त शक्तिशाली ब्रह्माजी, जो समस्त प्रजापतियों के स्वामी होने से प्रजापति-पति कहलाते हैं, अपने धाम ब्रह्मलोक लौट गये। ॥ १०-१-२६ ॥

शूरसेनो यदुपतिर्मथुरामावसन् पुरीम् । माथुराञ्छूरसेनांश्च विषयान् बुभुजे पुरा ॥ १०-१-२७ ॥
Formerly, Śūrasena, the chief of the Yadu dynasty, had gone to live in the city of Mathurā. There he enjoyed the places known as Māthura and Śūrasena. ॥ 10-1-27 ॥

प्राचीन काल में यदुवंश का मुखिया शूरसेन मथुरा नामक नगरी में रहने के लिए गया। वहाँ उसने माथुर तथा शूरसेन नामक स्थानों का भोग किया। ॥ १०-१-२७ ॥

राजधानी ततः साभूत्सर्वयादवभूभुजाम् । मथुरा भगवान् यत्र नित्यं सन्निहितो हरिः ॥ १०-१-२८ ॥
Since that time, the city of Mathurā had been the capital of all the kings of the Yadu dynasty. The city and district of Mathurā are very intimately connected with Kṛṣṇa, for Lord Kṛṣṇa lives there eternally. ॥ 10-1-28 ॥

उस समय से मथुरा नगरी सारे यदुवंशी राजाओं की राजधानी बनी रही। मथुरा नगरी तथा मथुरा जनपद कृष्ण से घनिष्टतापूर्वक जुड़े हैं क्योंकि वहाँ कृष्ण का नित्य वास है। ॥ १०-१-२८ ॥

तस्यां तु कर्हिचिच्छौरिर्वसुदेवः कृतोद्वहः । देवक्या सूर्यया सार्धं प्रयाणे रथमारुहत् ॥ १०-१-२९ ॥
Some time ago, Vasudeva, who belonged to the demigod family [or to the Śūra dynasty], married Devakī. After the marriage, he mounted his chariot to return home with his newly married wife. ॥ 10-1-29 ॥

कुछ समय पूर्व देववंश (या शूरवंश) के वसुदेव ने देवकी से विवाह किया। विवाह के बाद वह अपनी नवविवाहिता पत्नी के साथ घर लौटने के लिए अपने रथ पर आरूढ़ हुआ। ॥ १०-१-२९ ॥

उग्रसेनसुतः कंसः स्वसुः प्रियचिकीर्षया । रश्मीन् हयानां जग्राह रौक्मै रथशतैर्वृतः ॥ १०-१-३० ॥
Kaṁsa, the son of King Ugrasena, in order to please his sister Devakī on the occasion of her marriage, took charge of the reins of the horses and became the chariot driver. He was surrounded by hundreds of golden chariots. ॥ 10-1-30 ॥

राजा उग्रसेन के पुत्र कंस ने अपनी बहन देवकी को उसके विवाह के अवसर पर प्रसन्न करने की दृष्टि से घोड़ों की लगामें अपने हाथ में थाम लीं और स्वयं रथचालक (सारथी) बन गया। वह सैकड़ों सुनहरे रथों से घिरा था। ॥ १०-१-३० ॥
