चतुःशतं पारिबर्हं गजानां हेममालिनाम् । अश्वानामयुतं सार्धं रथानां च त्रिषट्शतम् ॥ १०-१-३१ ॥
four hundred elephants nicely decorated with golden garlands. He also gave ten thousand horses, eighteen hundred chariots, ॥ 10-1-31 ॥

सोने के हारों से सुसज्जित चार सौ हाथी दिए। साथ ही दस हजार घोड़े, अठारह हजार रथ ॥ १०-१-३१ ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptदासीनां सुकुमारीणां द्वे शते समलङ्कृते । दुहित्रे देवकः प्रादाद्याने दुहितृवत्सलः ॥ १०-१-३२ ॥
Additionally, there were two hundred exceptionally attractive young female servants, adorned with jewelry. Devakī's father, King Devaka, held deep affection for his daughter. Consequently, as she and her spouse were departing from their residence, he presented her with a marriage gift. ॥ 10-1-32 ॥

इसके अलावा, वहाँ दो सौ अत्यंत आकर्षक युवा महिला दासियाँ भी थीं, जो आभूषणों से सजीव थीं। देवकी के पिता, राजा देवक, अपनी बेटी से गहरे स्नेह में थे। इस परिणामस्वरूप, जैसे ही वह और उसका पति अपने आवास से रवाना हो रहे थे, उन्होंने उसे एक विवाह उपहार के रूप में प्रस्तुत किया। ॥ १०-१-३२ ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptशङ्खतूर्यमृदङ्गाश्च नेदुर्दुन्दुभयः समम् । प्रयाणप्रक्रमे तावद्वरवध्वोः सुमङ्गलम् ॥ १०-१-३३ ॥
O beloved son, Mahārāja Parīkṣit, when the bride and bridegroom were ready to start, conchshells, bugles, drums and kettledrums all vibrated in concert for their auspicious departure. ॥ 10-1-33 ॥

हे प्रिय पुत्र महाराज परीक्षित, जब दूल्हा तथा दुल्हन विदा होने लगे तो उनकी शुभ विदाई पर शंख, तुरही, मृदंग तथा नगाड़े एकसाथ बजने लगे। ॥ १०-१-३३ ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptपथि प्रग्रहिणं कंसमाभाष्याहाशरीरवाक् । अस्यास्त्वामष्टमो गर्भो हन्ता यां वहसेऽबुध ॥ १०-१-३४ ॥
While Kaṁsa, controlling the reins of the horses, was driving the chariot along the way, an unembodied voice addressed him, “You foolish rascal, the eighth child of the woman you are carrying will kill you!” ॥ 10-1-34 ॥

जब कंस घोड़ों की लगाम थामे मार्ग पर रथ हाँक रहा था, तो किसी अशरीरी आवाज ने उसको सम्बोधित किया, “अरे मूर्ख दुष्ट! तुम जिस स्त्री को लिए जा रहे हो उसकी आठवीं सन्तान तुम्हारा वध करेगी।” ॥ १०-१-३४ ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptइत्युक्तः स खलः पापो भोजानां कुलपांसनः । भगिनीं हन्तुमारब्धः खड्गपाणिः कचेऽग्रहीत् ॥ १०-१-३५ ॥
Kaṁsa was a condemned personality in the Bhoja dynasty because he was envious and sinful. Therefore, upon hearing this omen from the sky, he caught hold of his sister’s hair with his left hand and took up his sword with his right hand to sever her head from her body. ॥ 10-1-35 ॥

कंस भोजवंश का अधम व्यक्ति था क्योंकि वह ईर्ष्यालु तथा पापी था। इसलिए उसने जब यह आकाशवाणी सुनी तो उसने बाएँ हाथ से अपनी बहन के बाल पकड़ लिए और उसके सिर को धड़ से अलग करने के लिए दाहिने हाथ से अपनी तलवार निकाली। ॥ १०-१-३५ ॥
