पथि प्रग्रहिणं कंसमाभाष्याहाशरीरवाक् । अस्यास्त्वामष्टमो गर्भो हन्ता यां वहसेऽबुध ।। १०-१-३४ ।।

sanskrit

While Kaṁsa, controlling the reins of the horses, was driving the chariot along the way, an unembodied voice addressed him, “You foolish rascal, the eighth child of the woman you are carrying will kill you!” ।। 10-1-34 ।।

english translation

जब कंस घोड़ों की लगाम थामे मार्ग पर रथ हाँक रहा था, तो किसी अशरीरी आवाज ने उसको सम्बोधित किया, “अरे मूर्ख दुष्ट! तुम जिस स्त्री को लिए जा रहे हो उसकी आठवीं सन्तान तुम्हारा वध करेगी।” ।। १०-१-३४ ‌‌।।
