ततस्तु हरिशार्दूलस्तानुवाच वनौकसः । नेयं मम मही वेगं लङ्घने धारयिष्यति ॥ ४-६७-३६
Then the tiger among monkeys, Hanuman said to those forestdwellers (monkeys), 'The earth cannot bear the thrust of my leaping. ॥ 4-67-36॥

tatastu harizArdUlastAnuvAca vanaukasaH । neyaM mama mahI vegaM laGghane dhArayiSyati ॥ 4-67-36

'The rocks on the peaks of the ranges of mount Mahendra can with stand it, they are huge and firm. ॥ 4-67-37॥
english translation
etAnIha nagasyAsya zilAsaGkaTazAlinaH । zikharANi mahendrasya sthirANi sumahAnti ca ॥ 4-67-37
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएषु वेगं करिष्यामि महेन्द्रशिखरेष्वहम् । नानाद्रुमविकीर्णेषु धातुनिष्यन्दशोभिषु ॥ ४-६७-३८
'I will pick up speed on the peaks of mount Mahendra filled with different kinds of trees and minerals. ॥ 4-67-38॥

eSu vegaM kariSyAmi mahendrazikhareSvaham । nAnAdrumavikIrNeSu dhAtuniSyandazobhiSu ॥ 4-67-38
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतानि मम निष्पेषं पादयोः प्लवतां वराः । प्लवतो धारयिष्यन्ति योजनानामितश्शतम् ॥ ४-६७-३९
'O great monkeys these mountain peaks can withstand the crushing force of my feet as I leap over a hundred yojanas.' ॥ 4-67-39॥

etAni mama niSpeSaM pAdayoH plavatAM varAH । plavato dhArayiSyanti yojanAnAmitazzatam ॥ 4-67-39

The son of Maruta, who was as eminent as the Wind-god, the crusher of enemies ascended the great mountain Mahendra - ॥ 4-67-40॥
