स मां जिघांसुर्दुष्टात्मा वाली प्रव्यथितेन्द्रियः । परिकालयते क्रोधाद्धावन्तं सचिवैस्सह ॥ ४-४६-११
'The evilminded Vali, having lost his selfcontrol, ran after me in anger, to kill me and my ministers. I kept running. ॥ 4-46-11॥
english translation
sa mAM jighAMsurduSTAtmA vAlI pravyathitendriyaH । parikAlayate krodhAddhAvantaM sacivaissaha ॥ 4-46-11
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततोऽहं वालिना तेन साऽनुबद्धः प्रधावितः । नदीश्च विविधाः पश्यन्वनानि नगराणि च ॥ ४-४६-१२
'Such as I was, who is repulsed by Vali, I was made to run away rapidly, and during that fleeing I went on seeing diverse rivers, forests and cities. ॥ 4-46-12॥
english translation
tato'haM vAlinA tena sA'nubaddhaH pradhAvitaH । nadIzca vividhAH pazyanvanAni nagarANi ca ॥ 4-46-12
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआदर्शतलसङ्काशा ततो वै पृथिवी मया । अलातचक्रप्रतिमा दृष्टा गोष्पदवत्तदा ॥ ४-४६-१३
'I have then really seen the earth as in the reflection on the surface of a mirror, where the mirror shows all the objects in exactness, and the earth is like the circle of a fireball (where it is encircled with fire-like reddish, brownish, ochreish minerals and ores) and it appeared to me in my high flight like a cow-hoof-print in the mirror, called my perception. ॥ 4-46-13॥

'Then I ran in the eastern direction and saw many trees, lakes, rivers and beautiful mountains. ॥ 4-46-14॥

pUrvAM dizaM tato gatvA pazyAmi vividhAn drumAn । parvatanzca nadI ramyAssarAMsi vividhAni ca ॥ 4-46-14
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउदयं तत्र पश्यामि पर्वतं धातुमण्डितम् । क्षीरोदं सागरं चैव नित्यमप्सरसालयम् ॥ ४-४६-१५
'There I saw, filled with minerals the mountain behind which the Sun rises and the milky ocean frequented by the apsaras. ॥ 4-46-15॥
