जलोदं सागरं शीघ्रं सर्वभूतभयावहम् । तत्र तत्कोपजं तेजः कृतं हयमुखं महत् ॥ ४-४०-४७

- immediately the seas most dreadful to all creatures. Here is born Hayamukha, out of the fast spreading fire of anger of the ocean. ॥ 4-40-47॥

jalodaM sAgaraM zIghraM sarvabhUtabhayAvaham । tatra tatkopajaM tejaH kRtaM hayamukhaM mahat ॥ 4-40-47
