यवद्वीपमतिक्रम्य शिशिरो नाम पर्वतः । दिवं स्पृशति शृङ्गेण देवदानवसेवितः ॥ ४-४०-३१
There is a mountain Sisira (abode of Garuda) beyond Java Island. It touches the sky with its lofty cliffs. Gods and demons visit this mountain. ॥ 4-40-31॥

yavadvIpamatikramya ziziro nAma parvataH । divaM spRzati zRGgeNa devadAnavasevitaH ॥ 4-40-31
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतेषां गिरिदुर्गेषु प्रपातेषु वनेषु च । मार्गध्वं सहितास्सर्वे रामपत्नीं यशस्विनीम् ॥ ४-४०-३२
You may look for illustrious Rama's consort in these inaccessible mountains, waterfalls and forests. ॥ 4-40-32॥

eteSAM giridurgeSu prapAteSu vaneSu ca । mArgadhvaM sahitAssarve rAmapatnIM yazasvinIm ॥ 4-40-32
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततो रक्तजलं शोणमगाधं शीघ्रगामिनम् । गत्वा पारं समुद्रस्य सिद्धचारणसेवितम् ॥ ४-४०-३३
'Therefrom reach out to the swiftflowing river Sona which has redcoloured waters. Then crossing the sea which is the abode of Siddhas and Charanas . - ॥ 4-40-33॥
english translation
tato raktajalaM zoNamagAdhaM zIghragAminam । gatvA pAraM samudrasya siddhacAraNasevitam ॥ 4-40-33
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्य तीर्थेषु रम्येषु विचित्रेषु वनेषु च । रावण स्सह वैदेह्या मार्गितव्यस्ततस्ततः ॥ ४-४०-३४
- search the different rivers reaching the sea, and the picturesque and wonderful forests to trace the abode of Ravana who has stolen Sita. ॥ 4-40-34॥

tasya tIrtheSu ramyeSu vicitreSu vaneSu ca । rAvaNa ssaha vaidehyA mArgitavyastatastataH ॥ 4-40-34
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततस्समुद्रद्वीपांश्च सुभीमान्द्रष्टुमर्हथ । ऊर्मिमन्तं समुद्रं च क्रोशन्तमनिलोद्धतम् ॥ ४-४०-३५
'Then you may continue your search in the frightening islands of the sea as well as the sea which roars when stirred up by the wind. ॥ 4-40-35॥
