तमात्तबाणासनमुत्पतन्तं निवेदितार्थं रणचण्डकोपम् | उवाच रामः परवीरहन्ता स्ववेक्षितं सानुनयं च वाक्यम् || ४-३१-५

Rama, a slayer of enemy heroes but not of those who seek his refuge, spoke in a conciliatory tone to Lakshmana who jumped, wielding bow and arrows, inspired with his fierce fighting spirit : - [4-31-5]

tamAttabANAsanamutpatantaM niveditArthaM raNacaNDakopam | uvAca rAmaH paravIrahantA svavekSitaM sAnunayaM ca vAkyam || 4-31-5
