उत्सन्नराज्यसन्देशं कामवृत्तमवस्थितम् । निश्चितार्थोऽर्थतत्त्वज्ञः कालधर्मविशेषवित् ॥ ४-२९-६
He (Sugriva) was not taking care of the kingdom and engrossed in sensual pleasures. (Then) Who was conscious of his duties and responsibilities, who was aware of the importance of action in time . - ॥ 4-29-6॥
english translation
utsannarAjyasandezaM kAmavRttamavasthitam । nizcitArtho'rthatattvajJaH kAladharmavizeSavit ॥ 4-29-6
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रसाद्य वाक्यैर्मधुरैर्हेतुमद्भिर्मनोरमैः । वाक्यविद्वाक्य तत्त्वज्ञं हरीशं मारुतात्मजः ॥ ४-२९-७
- who was skilful in expression and knower of truth, son of the Wind-god (Hanuman) approached king of the monkeys (Sugriva) with sweet, reasonable and pleasing words making him happy. ॥ 4-29-7॥
english translation
prasAdya vAkyairmadhurairhetumadbhirmanoramaiH । vAkyavidvAkya tattvajJaM harIzaM mArutAtmajaH ॥ 4-29-7
hk transliteration by Sanscriptहितं तत्त्वं च पथ्यं च सामधर्मार्थनीतिमत् । प्रणयप्रीतिसंयुक्तं विश्वासकृतनिश्चयम् ॥ ४-२९-८
Having decided to take him into confidence with well meaning, truthful and helpful words, conciliatory and just, full of love and affection . - ॥ 4-29-8॥

hitaM tattvaM ca pathyaM ca sAmadharmArthanItimat । praNayaprItisaMyuktaM vizvAsakRtanizcayam ॥ 4-29-8
hk transliteration by Sanscriptहरीश्वरमुपागम्य हनूमान्वाक्यमब्रवीत् । राज्यं प्राप्तं यशश्चैव कौली श्रीरभिवर्धिता ॥ ४-२९-९
- Hanuman went and spoke monkey king Sugriva 'You have attained the kingdom. You have earned fame. The prosperity of your family has gone up. ॥ 4-29-9॥

harIzvaramupAgamya hanUmAnvAkyamabravIt । rAjyaM prAptaM yazazcaiva kaulI zrIrabhivardhitA ॥ 4-29-9
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमित्राणां सङ्ग्रहश्शेषस्तं भवान्कर्तुमर्हति । यो हि मित्रेषु कालज्ञस्सततं साधु वर्तते ॥ ४-२९-१०
'All that remains is to earn the goodwill of friends. Attend to that now. (A king) who knows the value of time and conducts himself well towards his allies . - ॥ 4-29-10॥

mitrANAM saGgrahazzeSastaM bhavAnkartumarhati । yo hi mitreSu kAlajJassatataM sAdhu vartate ॥ 4-29-10
