ततश्शोकाभिसन्तप्तं सुग्रीवं क्लिन्नवाससम् । शाखामृगमहामात्राः परिवार्योपतस्थिरे ॥ ४-२६-१
Then the chiefs of the army of the monkeys surrounded Sugriva, who was overcome with grief and was still in wet clothes (since he had taken bath at the conclusion of the funeral rites) and waited. [4-26-1]
english translation
अभिगम्य महाबाहुं राममक्लिष्टकारिणम् । स्थिताः प्राञ्जलयस्सर्वे पितामहमिवर्षयः ॥ ४-२६-२
Just like sages stand before the creator Brahma, all the monkeys stood with folded hands before the long-armed Rama, the remover of sorrow. [4-26-2]
english translation
ततः काञ्चनशैलाभ स्तरुणार्कनिभाननः । अब्रवीत्प्राञ्जलिर्वाक्यं हनूमान्मारुतात्मजः ॥ ४-२६-३
Then Hanuman, son of the Windgod, glowing like a golden mountain, whose face resembled the rising Sun addressed Rama with folded hands [4-26-3]

भवत् प्रसादात् काकुत्स्थ पितृ पैतामहम् महत् । वानराणाम् सुदंष्ट्राणाम् संपन्न बलशालिनाम् ॥ ४-२६-४
'O Kakutstha, by your grace he (Sugriva) inherited the great ancestral kingdom of deferential monkeys who are armed with the teeth, and whose might is a privileged one. [4-26-4]
english translation
महात्मानाम् सुदुष्प्रापं प्राप्तो राज्यमिदं प्रभो । भवता समनुज्ञातः प्रविश्य नगरं शुभम् ॥ ४-२६-५
'O Lord, he has obtained this kingdom (by your grace) which would have been otherwise difficult. Permitted by your gracious self, he will enter the auspicious city . - [4-26-5]
