यदि गच्छति पातालं ततोऽभ्यधिकमेव वा । सर्वथा रावणस्तावन्न भविष्यति राघव ॥ ४-१-११६
Even if Ravana escapes into the nether world or into a world still lower, he cannot save himself by any means, O Rama. ॥ 4-1-116॥
english translation
yadi gacchati pAtAlaM tato'bhyadhikameva vA । sarvathA rAvaNastAvanna bhaviSyati rAghava ॥ 4-1-116
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रवृत्तिर्लभ्यतां तावत्तस्य पापस्य रक्षसः । ततो हास्यति वा सीतां निधनं वा गमिष्यति ॥ ४-१-११७
Once the whereabouts of that sinful demon are known he will either deliver Sita or die. ॥ 4-1-117॥
english translation
pravRttirlabhyatAM tAvattasya pApasya rakSasaH । tato hAsyati vA sItAM nidhanaM vA gamiSyati ॥ 4-1-117
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयदि यातिदितेर्गर्भं रावणस्सह सीतया । तत्राप्येनं हनिष्यामि न चेद्दास्यति मैथिलीम् ॥ ४-१-११८
Even if Ravana enters into the womb of Diti (mother of demons) along with Sita, I will slay him there if he does not return the daughter of Mithila. ॥ 4-1-118॥
english translation
yadi yAtiditergarbhaM rAvaNassaha sItayA । tatrApyenaM haniSyAmi na ceddAsyati maithilIm ॥ 4-1-118
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस्वास्थ्यं भद्रं भजस्वार्य त्यज्यतां कृपणा मतिः । अर्थो हि नष्टकार्यार्थैर्नायत्नेनाधिगम्यते ॥ ४-१-११९
O noble prince be blessed. maintain composure. Without making any effort it is not possible to achieve the objective and recoup loss. ॥ 4-1-119॥

svAsthyaM bhadraM bhajasvArya tyajyatAM kRpaNA matiH । artho hi naSTakAryArthairnAyatnenAdhigamyate ॥ 4-1-119
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउत्साहो बलवानार्य नास्त्युत्साहात्परं बलम् । सोत्साहस्यास्ति लोकेऽस्मिन् न किञ्चिदपि दुर्लभम् ॥ ४-१-१२०
O revered Sire, enterprise is supreme strength. Nothing is difficult in this world for one who is up and doing. ॥ 4-1-120॥

utsAho balavAnArya nAstyutsAhAtparaM balam । sotsAhasyAsti loke'smin na kiJcidapi durlabham ॥ 4-1-120
