नैच्छत्त्वमस्युत्पथग इति देवश्चुकोप ह । शूलमुद्यम्य तं हन्तुमारेभे तिग्मलोचनः ॥ १०-८९-६ ॥
But Bhṛgu refused his embrace, telling him, “You are a deviant heretic.” At this Lord Śiva became angry, and his eyes burned ferociously. ॥ 10-89-6 ॥

लेकिन भृगु ने उनका आलिंगन अस्वीकार करते हुए कहा, "तुम एक पथभ्रष्ट विधर्मी हो।" इस पर भगवान शिव क्रोधित हो गये और उनकी आँखें बुरी तरह जलने लगीं। ॥ १०-८९-६ ॥

पतित्वा पादयोर्देवी सान्त्वयामास तं गिरा । अथो जगाम वैकुण्ठं यत्र देवो जनार्दनः ॥ १०-८९-७ ॥
He raised his trident and was about to kill Bhṛgu when Goddess Devī fell at his feet and spoke some words to pacify him. Bhṛgu then left that place and went to Vaikuṇṭha, where Lord Janārdana resides. ॥ 10-89-7 ॥

उन्होंने अपना त्रिशूल उठाया और भृगु को मारने ही वाले थे कि देवी उनके चरणों में गिर गईं और उन्हें शांत करने के लिए कुछ शब्द बोले। फिर भृगु ने वह स्थान छोड़ दिया और वैकुण्ठ चले गए, जहाँ भगवान जनार्दन निवास करते हैं। ॥ १०-८९-७ ॥

शयानं श्रिय उत्सङ्गे पदा वक्षस्यताडयत् । तत उत्थाय भगवान् सह लक्ष्म्या सतां गतिः ॥ १०-८९-८ ॥
There he went up to the Supreme Lord, who was lying with His head on the lap of His consort, Śrī, and kicked Him on the chest. The Lord then rose, along with Goddess Lakṣmī, as a sign of respect. ॥ 10-89-8 ॥

वहाँ वह परम भगवान के पास गया, जो अपनी पत्नी श्री की गोद में सिर रखकर लेटे हुए थे, और उनकी छाती पर लात मारी। फिर भगवान, देवी लक्ष्मी के साथ, सम्मान के संकेत के रूप में उठे। ॥ १०-८९-८ ॥

स्वतल्पादवरुह्याथ ननाम शिरसा मुनिम् । आह ते स्वागतं ब्रह्मन् निषीदात्रासने क्षणम् । अजानतामागतान् वः क्षन्तुमर्हथ नः प्रभो ॥ १०-८९-९ ॥
Coming down from His bedstead, that supreme goal of all pure devotees bowed His head to the floor before the sage and told him, ‘Welcome, brāhmaṇa. Please sit in this chair and rest awhile. Kindly forgive us, dear master, for not noticing your arrival.’ ॥ 10-89-9 ॥

अपने बिस्तर से नीचे आते हुए, सभी शुद्ध भक्तों के सर्वोच्च लक्ष्य ने ऋषि के सामने अपना सिर फर्श पर झुकाया और उनसे कहा, 'आपका स्वागत है, ब्राह्मण। कृपया इस कुर्सी पर बैठें और थोड़ी देर आराम करें। प्रिय स्वामी, आपके आगमन की सूचना न पाने के लिए कृपया हमें क्षमा करें।' ॥ १०-८९-९ ॥

अतीव कोमलौ तात चरणौ ते महामुने । इत्युक्त्वा विप्रचरणौ मर्दयन् स्वेन पाणिना ॥ १०-८९-१० ॥
O great sage, your feet are extremely delicate," saying this, devotees lovingly massages your feet with their own hand. ॥ 10-89-10 ॥

हे महर्षि, आपके पैर अत्यंत नाजुक हैं,'' ऐसा कहकर भक्त प्रेमपूर्वक अपने हाथों से आपके पैरों की मालिश करते हैं। ॥ १०-८९-१० ॥
