शूलैर्गदाभिः परिघैः शक्त्यृष्टिप्रासतोमरैः । असिभिः पट्टिशैर्बाणैः प्राहरन्नरयो हरिम् ॥ १०-६६-१६ ॥
The enemies of Lord Hari attacked Him with tridents, clubs, bludgeons, pikes, ṛṣtis, barbed darts, lances, swords, axes and arrows. ॥ 10-66-16 ॥

कृष्णस्तु तत्पौण्ड्रककाशिराजयोर्बलं गजस्यन्दनवाजिपत्तिमत् । गदासिचक्रेषुभिरार्दयद्भृशं यथा युगान्ते हुतभुक्पृथक् प्रजाः ॥ १०-६६-१७ ॥
But Lord Kṛṣṇa fiercely struck back at the army of Pauṇḍraka and Kāśirāja, which consisted of elephants, chariots, cavalry and infantry. The Lord tormented His enemies with His club, sword, Sudarśana disc and arrows, just as the fire of annihilation torments the various kinds of creatures at the end of a cosmic age. ॥ 10-66-17 ॥

लेकिन भगवान कृष्ण ने पौंड्रक और काशीराज की सेना पर भयंकर प्रहार किया, जिसमें हाथी, रथ, घुड़सवार सेना और पैदल सेना शामिल थी। भगवान ने अपने शत्रुओं को अपनी गदा, तलवार, सुदर्शन चक्र और बाणों से वैसे ही पीड़ा दी, जैसे ब्रह्मांडीय युग के अंत में विनाश की आग विभिन्न प्रकार के प्राणियों को पीड़ा देती है। ॥ १०-६६-१७ ॥

आयोधनं तद्रथवाजिकुञ्जरद्विपत्खरोष्ट्रैररिणावखण्डितैः । बभौ चितं मोदवहं मनस्विनामाक्रीडनं भूतपतेरिवोल्बणम् ॥ १०-६६-१८ ॥
The battlefield, strewn with the dismembered chariots, horses, elephants, humans, mules and camels that had been cut to pieces by the Lord’s disc weapon, shone like the gruesome playground of Lord Bhūtapati, giving pleasure to the wise. ॥ 10-66-18 ॥

भगवान के चक्र अस्त्र से टुकड़े-टुकड़े किये गये रथों, घोड़ों, हाथियों, मनुष्यों, खच्चरों और ऊँटों से बिखरा हुआ युद्धक्षेत्र भगवान भूतपति की भीषण क्रीड़ास्थली के समान चमक रहा था, जिससे बुद्धिमानों को प्रसन्नता हो रही थी। ॥ १०-६६-१८ ॥

अथाह पौण्ड्रकं शौरिर्भो भो पौण्ड्रक यद्भवान् । दूतवाक्येन मामाह तान्यस्त्राण्युत्सृजामि ते ॥ १०-६६-१९ ॥
Lord Kṛṣṇa then addressed Pauṇḍraka: My dear Pauṇḍraka, the very weapons you spoke of through your messenger, I now release unto you. ॥ 10-66-19 ॥

तब भगवान कृष्ण ने पौंड्रक को संबोधित किया: मेरे प्रिय पौंड्रक, जिन हथियारों के बारे में आपने अपने दूत के माध्यम से बात की थी, मैं अब उन्हें जारी करता हूं। ॥ १०-६६-१९ ॥

त्याजयिष्येऽभिधानं मे यत्त्वयाज्ञ मृषा धृतम् । व्रजामि शरणं तेऽद्य यदि नेच्छामि संयुगम् ॥ १०-६६-२० ॥
O fool, now I shall make you renounce My name, which you have falsely assumed. And I will certainly take shelter of you if I do not wish to fight you. ॥ 10-66-20 ॥

हे मूर्ख, अब मैं तुझ से अपना नाम त्यागवाऊंगा, जो तू ने मिथ्या रूप से ग्रहण किया है। और यदि मैं तुमसे युद्ध नहीं करना चाहता तो अवश्य ही तुम्हारी शरण लूँगा। ॥ १०-६६-२० ॥
