एवं सम्पृष्टसम्प्रश्नो ब्राह्मणः परमेष्ठिना । लीलागृहीतदेहेन तस्मै सर्वमवर्णयत् ॥ १०-५२-३६ ॥
Thus questioned by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who incarnates to perform His pastimes, the brāhmaṇa told Him everything. ॥ 10-52-36 ॥

रुक्मिण्युवाच श्रुत्वा गुणान् भुवनसुन्दर शृण्वतां ते निर्विश्य कर्णविवरैर्हरतोऽङ्गतापम् । रूपं दृशां दृशिमतामखिलार्थलाभं त्वय्यच्युताविशति चित्तमपत्रपं मे ॥ १०-५२-३७ ॥
Śrī Rukmiṇī said [in her letter, as read by the brāhmaṇa]: O beauty of the worlds, having heard of Your qualities, which enter the ears of those who hear and remove their bodily distress, and having also heard of Your beauty, which fulfills all the visual desires of those who see, I have fixed my shameless mind upon You, O Kṛṣṇa. ॥ 10-52-37 ॥

श्री रुक्मिणी ने कहा [ब्राह्मण द्वारा पढ़े गए अपने पत्र में]: हे विश्व सुंदरियों, आपके गुणों के बारे में सुना है, जो सुनने वालों के कानों में प्रवेश करते हैं और उनके शारीरिक संकट को दूर करते हैं, और आपकी सुंदरता के बारे में भी सुना है, जो देखने वालों की सभी दृश्य इच्छाओं को पूरा करता है, हे कृष्ण, मैंने अपना निर्लज्ज मन आप पर स्थिर कर दिया है। ॥ १०-५२-३७ ॥

का त्वा मुकुन्द महती कुलशीलरूपविद्यावयोद्रविणधामभिरात्मतुल्यम् । धीरा पतिं कुलवती न वृणीत कन्या काले नृसिंह नरलोकमनोऽभिरामम् ॥ १०-५२-३८ ॥
O Mukunda, You are equal only to Yourself in lineage, character, beauty, knowledge, youthfulness, wealth and influence. O lion among men, You delight the minds of all mankind. What aristocratic, sober-minded and marriageable girl of a good family would not choose You as her husband when the proper time has come? ॥ 10-52-38 ॥

हे मुकुंद, आप वंश, चरित्र, सौंदर्य, ज्ञान, यौवन, धन और प्रभाव में केवल अपने ही समान हैं। हे मनुष्यों के बीच सिंह, आप सभी मानव जाति के मन को प्रसन्न करते हैं। कौन कुलीन, शांतचित्त और अच्छे परिवार की विवाह योग्य लड़की उचित समय आने पर आपको अपने पति के रूप में नहीं चुनेगी? ॥ १०-५२-३८ ॥

तन्मे भवान् खलु वृतः पतिरङ्ग जायामात्मार्पितश्च भवतोऽत्र विभो विधेहि । मा वीरभागमभिमर्शतु चैद्य आराद्गोमायुवन्मृगपतेर्बलिमम्बुजाक्ष ॥ १०-५२-३९ ॥
Therefore, my dear Lord, I have chosen You as my husband, and I surrender myself to You. Please come swiftly, O almighty one, and make me Your wife. My dear lotus-eyed Lord, let Śiśupāla never touch the hero’s portion like a jackal stealing the property of a lion. ॥ 10-52-39 ॥

इसलिए, मेरे प्रिय भगवान, मैंने आपको अपने पति के रूप में चुना है, और मैं खुद को आपके सामने समर्पित करती हूं। कृपया जल्दी आओ, हे सर्वशक्तिमान, और मुझे अपनी पत्नी बनाओ। मेरे प्रिय कमल-नेत्र भगवान, शिशुपाल सिंह की संपत्ति चुराने वाले गीदड़ की तरह वीर के हिस्से को कभी न छुए। ॥ १०-५२-३९ ॥

पूर्तेष्टदत्तनियमव्रतदेवविप्रगुर्वर्चनादिभिरलं भगवान् परेशः । आराधितो यदि गदाग्रज एत्य पाणिं गृह्णातु मे न दमघोषसुतादयोऽन्ये ॥ १०-५२-४० ॥
The ācāryas comment as follows on this verse: “Rukmiṇī felt that no one could obtain Lord Kṛṣṇa by the efforts of a single lifetime. Therefore she earnestly pointed out the pious activities she had performed in that life and previous lives, hoping to convince Śrī Kṛṣṇa to come.” ॥ 10-52-40 ॥

इस श्लोक पर आचार्य इस प्रकार टिप्पणी करते हैं: “रुक्मिणी को लगा कि कोई भी एक जीवनकाल के प्रयासों से भगवान कृष्ण को प्राप्त नहीं कर सकता। इसलिए उसने श्री कृष्ण को आने के लिए मनाने की आशा में, उस जीवन और पिछले जन्मों में किए गए पवित्र कार्यों को ईमानदारी से बताया। ॥ १०-५२-४० ॥
