सन्तुष्टो यर्हि वर्तेत ब्राह्मणो येन केनचित् । अहीयमानः स्वाद्धर्मात्स ह्यस्याखिलकामधुक् ॥ १०-५२-३१ ॥
When a brāhmaṇa is satisfied with whatever comes his way and does not fall away from his religious duties, those very religious principles become his desire cow, fulfilling all his wishes. ॥ 10-52-31 ॥

जब एक ब्राह्मण अपने रास्ते में आने वाली हर चीज से संतुष्ट होता है और अपने धार्मिक कर्तव्यों से विमुख नहीं होता है, तो वही धार्मिक सिद्धांत उसकी सभी इच्छाओं को पूरा करने वाली उसकी इच्छा गाय बन जाते हैं। ॥ १०-५२-३१ ॥

असन्तुष्टोऽसकृल्लोकानाप्नोत्यपि सुरेश्वरः । अकिञ्चनोऽपि सन्तुष्टः शेते सर्वाङ्गविज्वरः ॥ १०-५२-३२ ॥
An unsatisfied brāhmaṇa wanders restlessly from one planet to another, even if he becomes King of heaven. But a satisfied brāhmaṇa, though he may possess nothing, rests peacefully, all his limbs free of distress. ॥ 10-52-32 ॥
english translation
एक असंतुष्ट ब्राह्मण एक ग्रह से दूसरे ग्रह तक बेचैनी से भटकता रहता है, भले ही वह स्वर्ग का राजा ही क्यों न बन जाए। लेकिन एक संतुष्ट ब्राह्मण, भले ही उसके पास कुछ भी न हो, शांति से रहता है, उसके सभी अंग संकट से मुक्त होते हैं। ॥ १०-५२-३२ ॥

विप्रान् स्वलाभसन्तुष्टान् साधून् भूतसुहृत्तमान् । निरहङ्कारिणः शान्तान्नमस्ये शिरसासकृत् ॥ १०-५२-३३ ॥
I repeatedly bow My head in respect to those brāhmaṇas who are satisfied with their lot. Saintly, prideless and peaceful, they are the best well-wishers of all living beings. ॥ 10-52-33 ॥

मैं उन ब्राह्मणों के प्रति बार-बार सिर झुकाता हूं जो अपने हिस्से से संतुष्ट हैं। वे साधु, अभिमानरहित और शान्त हैं, वे समस्त प्राणियों के परम हितैषी हैं। ॥ १०-५२-३३ ॥

कच्चिद्वः कुशलं ब्रह्मन् राजतो यस्य हि प्रजाः । सुखं वसन्ति विषये पाल्यमानाः स मे प्रियः ॥ १०-५२-३४ ॥
O brāhmaṇa, is your King attending to your welfare? Indeed, that king in whose country the citizens are happy and protected is very dear to Me ॥ 10-52-34 ॥

हे ब्राह्मण, क्या तुम्हारा राजा तुम्हारे कल्याण का ध्यान रख रहा है? सचमुच, जिस राजा के देश में प्रजा सुखी और सुरक्षित रहती है, वह मुझे अत्यंत प्रिय है ॥ १०-५२-३४ ॥

यतस्त्वमागतो दुर्गं निस्तीर्येह यदिच्छया । सर्वं नो ब्रूह्यगुह्यं चेत्किं कार्यं करवाम ते ॥ १०-५२-३५ ॥
Whence have you come, crossing the impassable sea, and for what purpose? Explain all this to Us if it is not a secret, and tell Us what We may do for you. ॥ 10-52-35 ॥

आप अगम्य समुद्र को पार करके कहाँ से और किस उद्देश्य से आये हैं? यदि यह रहस्य न हो तो हमें यह सब समझाओ और हमें बताओ कि हम तुम्हारे लिए क्या कर सकते हैं। ॥ १०-५२-३५ ॥
