भगवानपि विश्वात्मा भक्तानामभयङ्करः । आविवेशांशभागेन मन आनकदुन्दुभेः ।। १०-२-१६ ।।

sanskrit

Thus the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is the Supersoul of all living entities and who vanquishes all the fear of His devotees, entered the mind of Vasudeva in full opulence. ।। 10-2-16 ।।

english translation

इस तरह समस्त जीवों के परमात्मा तथा अपने भक्तों के भय को दूर करने वाले पूर्ण पुरुषोत्तम भगवान् वसुदेव के मन में अपने पूर्ण ऐश्वर्य के समेत प्रविष्ट हो गये। ।। १०-२-१६ ।।

स बिभ्रत्पौरुषं धाम भ्राजमानो यथा रविः । दुरासदोऽतिदुर्धर्षो भूतानां सम्बभूव ह ।। १०-२-१७ ।।

sanskrit

While carrying the form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead within the core of his heart, Vasudeva bore the Lord’s transcendentally illuminating effulgence, and thus he became as bright as the sun. He was therefore very difficult to see or approach through sensory perception. Indeed, he was unapproachable and unperceivable even for such formidable men as Kaṁsa, and not only for Kaṁsa but for all living entities. ।। 10-2-17 ।।

english translation

वसुदेव अपने हृदय के भीतर भगवान् के स्वरूप को धारण किये हुए भगवान् के दिव्य प्रकाशमान तेज को वहन कर रहे थे जिसके कारण वे सूर्य के समान चमकीले बन गये। अत: उनकी ओर लौकिक दृष्टि द्वारा देखना या उन तक पहुँचना कठिन था, यहाँ तक कि वे कंस जैसे पराक्रमी व्यक्ति के लिए ही नहीं, अपितु सारे जीवों के लिए भी दुर्धर्ष थे। ।। १०-२-१७ ।।

ततो जगन्मङ्गलमच्युतांशं समाहितं शूरसुतेन देवी । दधार सर्वात्मकमात्मभूतं काष्ठा यथाऽऽनन्दकरं मनस्तः ।। १०-२-१८ ।।

Thereafter, accompanied by plenary expansions, the fully opulent Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is all-auspicious for the entire universe, was transferred from the mind of Vasudeva to the mind of Devakī. Devakī, having thus been initiated by Vasudeva, became beautiful by carrying Lord Kṛṣṇa, the original consciousness for everyone, the cause of all causes, within the core of her heart, just as the east becomes beautiful by carrying the rising moon. ।। 10-2-18 ।।

english translation

तत्पश्चात् परम तेजस्वी, सम्पूर्ण जगत के लिए सर्वमंगलमय समस्त ऐश्वर्यों से युक्त भगवान् अपने स्वांशों समेत वसुदेव के मन से देवकी के मन में स्थानान्तरित कर दिये गये। इस तरह वसुदेव से दीक्षा प्राप्त करने से देवकी सबों की आदि चेतना, समस्त कारणों के कारण भगवान् कृष्ण को अपने अन्त:करण में धारण करने के कारण सुन्दर बन गईं जिस तरह उदित चन्द्रमा को पाकर पूर्व दिशा सुन्दर बन जाती है। ।। १०-२-१८ ।।

सा देवकी सर्वजगन्निवासनिवासभूता नितरां न रेजे । भोजेन्द्रगेहेऽग्निशिखेव रुद्धा सरस्वती ज्ञानखले यथा सती ।। १०-२-१९ ।।

Devakī then kept within herself the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the cause of all causes, the foundation of the entire cosmos, but because she was under arrest in the house of Kaṁsa, she was like the flames of a fire covered by the walls of a pot, or like a person who has knowledge but cannot distribute it to the world for the benefit of human society. ।। 10-2-19 ।।

english translation

तब देवकी ने समस्त कारणों के कारण, समग्र ब्रह्माण्ड के आधार भगवान् को अपने भीतर रखा किन्तु कंस के घर के भीतर बन्दी होने से वे किसी पात्र की दीवालों से ढकी हुई अग्नि की लपटों की तरह या उस व्यक्ति की तरह थीं जो अपने ज्ञान को जनसमुदाय के लाभ हेतु वितरित नहीं करता। ।। १०-२-१९ ।।

तां वीक्ष्य कंसः प्रभयाजितान्तरां विरोचयन्तीं भवनं शुचिस्मिताम् । आहैष मे प्राणहरो हरिर्गुहां ध्रुवं श्रितो यन्न पुरेयमीदृशी ।। १०-२-२० ।।

Because the Supreme Personality of Godhead was within her womb, Devakī illuminated the entire atmosphere in the place where she was confined. Seeing her jubilant, pure and smiling, Kaṁsa thought, “The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Viṣṇu, who is now within her, will kill me. Devakī has never before looked so brilliant and jubilant.” ।। 10-2-20 ।।

english translation

गर्भ में भगवान् के होने से देवकी जिस स्थान में बन्दी थीं वहाँ के सारे वातावरण को वे आलोकित करने लगीं। उसे प्रसन्न, शुद्ध तथा हँसमुख देखकर कंस ने सोचा, “इसके भीतर स्थित भगवान् विष्णु अब मेरा वध करेंगे। इसके पूर्व देवकी कभी भी इतनी तेजवान तथा प्रसन्न नहीं दिखी।” ।। १०-२-२० ।।
