गोपजातिप्रतिच्छन्ना देवा गोपालरूपिणौ । ईडिरे कृष्णरामौ च नटा इव नटं नृप ॥ १०-१८-११ ॥
O King, demigods disguised themselves as members of the cowherd community and, just as dramatic dancers praise another dancer, worshiped Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, who were also appearing as cowherd boys. ॥ 10-18-11 ॥

हे राजन्, देवताओं ने गोप जाति के सदस्यों का वेश बनाया और जिस तरह नाटक के नर्तक दूसरे नर्तक की प्रशंसा करते हैं उसी तरह उन्होंने ग्वालबालों के रूप में प्रकट हुए कृष्ण तथा बलराम की पूजा की। ॥ १०-१८-११ ॥

भ्रामणैर्लङ्घनैः क्षेपैरास्फोटनविकर्षणैः । चिक्रीडतुर्नियुद्धेन काकपक्षधरौ क्वचित् ॥ १०-१८-१२ ॥
Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma played with their cowherd boyfriends by whirling about, leaping, hurling, slapping and fighting. Sometimes Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma would pull the hair on the boys’ heads. ॥ 10-18-12 ॥

कृष्ण तथा बलराम चक्कर काटते, कूदते, फेंकते, थपथपाते तथा लड़ते भिड़ते हुए अपने ग्वाल सखाओं के साथ खेलने लगे। कभी कभी कृष्ण तथा बलराम बालकों के सिरों की चुटिया खींच लेते थे। ॥ १०-१८-१२ ॥

क्वचिन्नृत्यत्सु चान्येषु गायकौ वादकौ स्वयम् । शशंसतुर्महाराज साधु साध्विति वादिनौ ॥ १०-१८-१३ ॥
While the other boys were dancing, O King, Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma would sometimes accompany them with song and instrumental music, and sometimes the two Lords would praise the boys, saying, “Very good! Very good!” ॥ 10-18-13 ॥

हे राजन्, जब अन्य बालक नाचते होते तो कृष्ण तथा बलराम कभी कभी गीत तथा वाद्य संगीत से उनका साथ देते और कभी कभी वे दोनों ‘बहुत अच्छा‘’, ‘बहुत अच्छा’ कहकर लडक़ों की प्रशंसा करते थे। ॥ १०-१८-१३ ॥

क्वचिद्बिल्वैः क्वचित्कुम्भैः क्व चामलकमुष्टिभिः । अस्पृश्यनेत्रबन्धाद्यैः क्वचिन्मृगखगेहया ॥ १०-१८-१४ ॥
Sometimes the cowherd boys would play with bilva or kumbha fruits, and sometimes with handfuls of āmalaka fruits. At other times they would play the games of trying to touch one another or of trying to identify somebody while one is blindfolded, and sometimes they would imitate animals and birds. ॥ 10-18-14 ॥

ग्वालबाल कभी बिल्व या कुम्भ फलों से खेलते और कभी मुट्ठी में आमलक फलों को लेकर खेलते। कभी वे एक दूसरे को छूने का या आँख मिचौनी के समय किसी को पहचानने का खेल खेलते तो कभी वे पशुओं तथा पक्षियों की नकल उतारते। ॥ १०-१८-१४ ॥

क्वचिच्च दर्दुरप्लावैर्विविधैरुपहासकैः । कदाचित्स्पन्दोलिकया कर्हिचिन्नृपचेष्टया ॥ १०-१८-१५ ॥
They would sometimes jump around like frogs, sometimes play various jokes, sometimes ride in swings and sometimes imitate monarchs. ॥ 10-18-15 ॥

कभी कभी वे मेढक़ों की तरह फुदक फुदक कर चलते, कभी तरह तरह के हास परिहास करते, कभी झूले में झूलते और कभी राजाओं की नकल उतारते। ॥ १०-१८-१५ ॥
