इन्द्रो॑ यातू॒नाम॑भवत्पराश॒रो ह॑वि॒र्मथी॑नाम॒भ्या॒३॒॑विवा॑सताम् । अ॒भीदु॑ श॒क्रः प॑र॒शुर्यथा॒ वनं॒ पात्रे॑व भि॒न्दन्त्स॒त ए॑ति र॒क्षस॑: ॥ इन्द्रो यातूनामभवत्पराशरो हविर्मथीनामभ्याविवासताम् । अभीदु शक्रः परशुर्यथा वनं पात्रेव भिन्दन्त्सत एति रक्षसः ॥
Indra has ever been the discomfiter of the evil spirits coming to obstruct (the rites of) the offerers ofoblations; Śakra advances, crushing the present rākṣasas, as a hatchet cuts down (the trees of) a forest, as (amallet smashes) the earthen vessels.

उलू॑कयातुं शुशु॒लूक॑यातुं ज॒हि श्वया॑तुमु॒त कोक॑यातुम् । सु॒प॒र्णया॑तुमु॒त गृध्र॑यातुं दृ॒षदे॑व॒ प्र मृ॑ण॒ रक्ष॑ इन्द्र ॥ उलूकयातुं शुशुलूकयातुं जहि श्वयातुमुत कोकयातुम् । सुपर्णयातुमुत गृध्रयातुं दृषदेव प्र मृण रक्ष इन्द्र ॥
Destroy the evil spirit, whether in the form of an owl, or of an owlet, of a dog, or of a duck, of a hawk orof a vulture; slay the rākṣasas, Indra, (with the thunderbolt) as with a stone.
english translation
मा नो॒ रक्षो॑ अ॒भि न॑ड्यातु॒माव॑ता॒मपो॑च्छतु मिथु॒ना या कि॑मी॒दिना॑ । पृ॒थि॒वी न॒: पार्थि॑वात्पा॒त्वंह॑सो॒ऽन्तरि॑क्षं दि॒व्यात्पा॑त्व॒स्मान् ॥ मा नो रक्षो अभि नड्यातुमावतामपोच्छतु मिथुना या किमीदिना । पृथिवी नः पार्थिवात्पात्वंहसोऽन्तरिक्षं दिव्यात्पात्वस्मान् ॥
Let not the rākṣasas do us harm; let the dawn drive away the pairs of evil spirits exclaiming, "Whatnote is this"; may the earth protect us from terrestrial, the firmament protect us from celestial, wickedness.

इन्द्र॑ ज॒हि पुमां॑सं यातु॒धान॑मु॒त स्त्रियं॑ मा॒यया॒ शाश॑दानाम् । विग्री॑वासो॒ मूर॑देवा ऋदन्तु॒ मा ते दृ॑श॒न्त्सूर्य॑मु॒च्चर॑न्तम् ॥ इन्द्र जहि पुमांसं यातुधानमुत स्त्रियं मायया शाशदानाम् । विग्रीवासो मूरदेवा ऋदन्तु मा ते दृशन्त्सूर्यमुच्चरन्तम् ॥
Slay, Indra, the Yātudhāna, whether in the form of a man, or of a woman doing mischief by herdeceptions; may those who sport in murder perish dissipated; let them not behold the rising sun.

प्रति॑ चक्ष्व॒ वि च॒क्ष्वेन्द्र॑श्च सोम जागृतम् । रक्षो॑भ्यो व॒धम॑स्यतम॒शनिं॑ यातु॒मद्भ्य॑: ॥ प्रति चक्ष्व वि चक्ष्वेन्द्रश्च सोम जागृतम् । रक्षोभ्यो वधमस्यतमशनिं यातुमद्भ्यः ॥
Soma, do you and Indra severally watch (the rākṣasas), be vary, be vigilant; hurl the thunderbolt atthe malignant rākṣasas.
