नू मर्तो॑ दयते सनि॒ष्यन्यो विष्ण॑व उरुगा॒याय॒ दाश॑त् । प्र यः स॒त्राचा॒ मन॑सा॒ यजा॑त ए॒ताव॑न्तं॒ नर्य॑मा॒विवा॑सात् ॥ नू मर्तो दयते सनिष्यन्यो विष्णव उरुगायाय दाशत् । प्र यः सत्राचा मनसा यजात एतावन्तं नर्यमाविवासात् ॥
The mortal desirous of wealth quickly obtains it who presents (offerings) to the widely-renownedViṣṇu, who worships him with entirely devoted mind, who adores so great a benefactor of mankind.
english translation
त्वं वि॑ष्णो सुम॒तिं वि॒श्वज॑न्या॒मप्र॑युतामेवयावो म॒तिं दा॑: । पर्चो॒ यथा॑ नः सुवि॒तस्य॒ भूरे॒रश्वा॑वतः पुरुश्च॒न्द्रस्य॑ रा॒यः ॥ त्वं विष्णो सुमतिं विश्वजन्यामप्रयुतामेवयावो मतिं दाः । पर्चो यथा नः सुवितस्य भूरेरश्वावतः पुरुश्चन्द्रस्य रायः ॥
Viṣṇu, granter of desires, show to us that favourable disposition which is benevolent to all, unmixed(with exception), so that there may be to us the attainment of easily-acquire, ample, steed-comprising,all-delighting riches.
english translation
त्रिर्दे॒वः पृ॑थि॒वीमे॒ष ए॒तां वि च॑क्रमे श॒तर्च॑सं महि॒त्वा । प्र विष्णु॑रस्तु त॒वस॒स्तवी॑यान्त्वे॒षं ह्य॑स्य॒ स्थवि॑रस्य॒ नाम॑ ॥ त्रिर्देवः पृथिवीमेष एतां वि चक्रमे शतर्चसं महित्वा । प्र विष्णुरस्तु तवसस्तवीयान्त्वेषं ह्यस्य स्थविरस्य नाम ॥
This deity, by his great power, traversed with three (steps) the many- lustrous earth; may Viṣṇu, themost powerful of the powerful rule over us, for illustrious is the name of the mighty one.
english translation
वि च॑क्रमे पृथि॒वीमे॒ष ए॒तां क्षेत्रा॑य॒ विष्णु॒र्मनु॑षे दश॒स्यन् । ध्रु॒वासो॑ अस्य की॒रयो॒ जना॑स उरुक्षि॒तिं सु॒जनि॑मा चकार ॥ वि चक्रमे पृथिवीमेष एतां क्षेत्राय विष्णुर्मनुषे दशस्यन् । ध्रुवासो अस्य कीरयो जनास उरुक्षितिं सुजनिमा चकार ॥
This Viṣṇu traversed the earth for a dwelling which he was desirous of giving to his eulogist; firm arethe people who are his praisers; he who is the engenderer of good has made a spacious dwelling (for hisworshippers).
english translation
प्र तत्ते॑ अ॒द्य शि॑पिविष्ट॒ नामा॒र्यः शं॑सामि व॒युना॑नि वि॒द्वान् । तं त्वा॑ गृणामि त॒वस॒मत॑व्या॒न्क्षय॑न्तम॒स्य रज॑सः परा॒के ॥ प्र तत्ते अद्य शिपिविष्ट नामार्यः शंसामि वयुनानि विद्वान् । तं त्वा गृणामि तवसमतव्यान्क्षयन्तमस्य रजसः पराके ॥
Resplendent Viṣṇu, I, the master of the offering, knowing the objects that are to be known, glorifytoday your name; I who am feeble, praise you who are powerful, dwelling in a remote region of this world.
