दक्षिणं तीरमुदधेर्लङ्का यत्र च सा पुरी । अस्तं दिनकरे याते रक्षसां निलयं पुरम् ॥ ५-५८-४६

dakSiNaM tIramudadherlaGkA yatra ca sA purI । astaM dinakare yAte rakSasAM nilayaM puram ॥ 5-58-46

- was entered by me without being noticed by the demons of dreadful prowess. While I was entering the city, a woman, resembling a cloud at the time of dissolution of the world - ॥ 5-48-47॥

praviSTo'hamavijJAto rakSobhirbhImavikramaiH । tatra pravizatazcApi kalpAntaghanasannibhA ॥ 5-58-47
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअट्टहासं विमुञ्चन्ती नारी काप्युत्थिता पुरः । जिघांसन्तीं ततस्तां तु ज्वलदग्निशिरोरुहाम् ॥ ५-५८-४८
- rose before me, breaking into laughter. Then she with its hair burning like sacrificial fire, emerged to kill me. ॥ 5-58-48॥

aTTahAsaM vimuJcantI nArI kApyutthitA puraH । jighAMsantIM tatastAM tu jvaladagniziroruhAm ॥ 5-58-48

hk transliteration by Sanscriptअहं लङ्कापुरी वीर निर्जिता विक्रमेण ते । यस्मात्तस्माद्विजेतासि सर्वरक्षांस्यशेषतः ॥ ५-५८-५०
- ''O hero I am the presiding deity of Lanka whom you have won by your valour. Therefore you will win many demons''. ॥ 5-58-50॥
