क्रौञ्चं तु गिरिमासाद्य बिलं तस्य सुदुर्गमम् । अप्रमत्तै: प्रवेष्टव्यं दुष्प्रवेशं हि तत्स्मृतम् ॥ ४-४३-२६
'Therefrom proceed to mount krauncha mountain and enter carefully its cave which is reportedly difficult to access. ॥ 4-43-26॥
english translation
krauJcaM tu girimAsAdya bilaM tasya sudurgamam । apramattai: praveSTavyaM duSpravezaM hi tatsmRtam ॥ 4-43-26
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवसन्ति हि महात्मानस्तत्र सूर्यसमप्रभाः । देवैरप्यर्चिता स्सम्यग्देवरूपा महर्षयः ॥ ४-४३-२७
'Great ascetics live there. Worshipped even by the gods, these highsouled godlike ascetics shine like the very Sun. ॥ 4-43-27॥

vasanti hi mahAtmAnastatra sUryasamaprabhAH । devairapyarcitA ssamyagdevarUpA maharSayaH ॥ 4-43-27
hk transliteration by Sanscriptक्रौञ्चस्य तु गुहाश्चान्यास्सानूनिशिखराणि च । निर्दराश्च नितम्बाश्च विचेतव्या स्ततस्ततः ॥ ४-४३-२८
'Ransack the other peaks of Krauncha, its caves, caverns and ridges. ॥ 4-43-28॥

krauJcasya tu guhAzcAnyAssAnUnizikharANi ca । nirdarAzca nitambAzca vicetavyA statastataH ॥ 4-43-28
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकौञ्चस्य शिखरं चापि निरीक्ष्य च ततस्ततः । अवृक्षं कामशैलं च मानसं विहगालयम् ॥ ४-४३-२९
Krauncha's peak should be also searched all over. There is a mountain region known as Kama, and Manasa where there are no trees. It is a bird sanctuary. ॥ 4-43-29॥

kauJcasya zikharaM cApi nirIkSya ca tatastataH । avRkSaM kAmazailaM ca mAnasaM vihagAlayam ॥ 4-43-29
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन गतिस्तत्र भूतानां देवदानव रक्षसाम् । स च सर्वैर्विचेतव्यस्ससानुप्रस्थभूधरः ॥ ४-४३-३०
Not only living beings, even gods, demons and rakshas have no access to that place. All of you should search (for Sita) in the plain lands and the ridges of that . - ॥ 4-43-30॥

na gatistatra bhUtAnAM devadAnava rakSasAm । sa ca sarvairvicetavyassasAnuprasthabhUdharaH ॥ 4-43-30
