उपकारेण वीरस्तु प्रतीकारेण युज्यते | अकृतज्ञोऽप्रतिकृतो हन्ति सत्त्ववतां मनः || ४-२७-४५

'A valiant one who is succoured will be indebted with some requital on his part, but besides being unfaithful, if one who does not make requital for all the favours done in his interest, he will be wounding the hearts of soft-hearted people.' [4-27-45]

english translation

upakAreNa vIrastu pratIkAreNa yujyate | akRtajJo'pratikRto hanti sattvavatAM manaH || 4-27-45
