दासीभिर्निष्ककण्ठीभिः सुवासोभिरलङ्कृतम् । पुम्भिः सकञ्चुकोष्णीषसुवस्त्रमणिकुण्डलैः ॥ १०-६९-११ ॥

रत्नप्रदीपनिकरद्युतिभिर्निरस्त- ध्वान्तं विचित्रवलभीषु शिखण्डिनोऽङ्ग । नृत्यन्ति यत्र विहितागुरुधूपमक्षै- र्निर्यान्तमीक्ष्य घनबुद्धय उन्नदन्तः ॥ १०-६९-१२ ॥
The glow of numerous jewel-studded lamps dispelled all darkness in the palace. My dear King, on the ornate ridges of the roof danced loudly crying peacocks, who saw the fragrant aguru incense escaping through the holes of the latticed windows and mistook it for a cloud. ॥ 10-69-12 ॥

असंख्य रत्नजड़ित दीपकों की चमक ने महल का सारा अंधकार दूर कर दिया। मेरे प्रिय राजा, छत की अलंकृत मुंडेर पर जोर-जोर से चिल्लाते हुए मोर नृत्य कर रहे थे, जिन्होंने जालीदार खिड़कियों के छिद्रों से सुगंधित अगुरू धूप को निकलते देखा और इसे बादल समझ लिया। ॥ १०-६९-१२ ॥

तस्मिन् समानगुणरूपवयःसुवेषदासीसहस्रयुतयानुसवं गृहिण्या । विप्रो ददर्श चमरव्यजनेन रुक्मदण्डेन सात्वतपतिं परिवीजयन्त्या ॥ १०-६९-१३ ॥
In that palace the learned brāhmaṇa saw the Lord of the Sātvatas, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, together with His wife, who fanned Him with a gold-handled yak-tail fan. She personally served Him in this way, even though she was constantly attended by a thousand maidservants equal to her in personal character, beauty, youth and fine dress. ॥ 10-69-13 ॥

उस महल में ज्ञानी ब्राह्मण ने सात्वतों के स्वामी, श्री कृष्ण, को उनकी पत्नी के साथ देखा, जो उन्हें सोने के हैंडल वाले याक-तेल के पंखा से हवा दे रही थीं। वह खुद इस प्रकार सेवा करती थीं, हालांकि उसके साथ हमेशा हजार दासीबालें थीं, जो उसके व्यक्तिगत गुण, सौंदर्य, यौवन और बढ़िया वस्त्र में उसके समान थीं। ॥ १०-६९-१३ ॥

तं सन्निरीक्ष्य भगवान् सहसोत्थितश्रीपर्यङ्कतः सकलधर्मभृतां वरिष्ठः । आनम्य पादयुगलं शिरसा किरीटजुष्टेन साञ्जलिरवीविशदासने स्वे ॥ १०-६९-१४ ॥
The Supreme Lord is the greatest upholder of religious principles. Thus when He noticed Nārada, He rose at once from Goddess Śrī’s bed, bowed His crowned head at Nārada’s feet and, joining His palms, had the sage sit in His own seat. ॥ 10-69-14 ॥

सर्वोच्च भगवान धार्मिक सिद्धांतों के सबसे बड़े संरक्षक हैं। इस प्रकार जब उन्होंने नारद को देखा, तो वे तुरंत देवी श्री के बिस्तर से उठे, अपना मुकुटधारी सिर नारद के चरणों में झुकाया और, अपनी हथेलियों को जोड़कर, ऋषि को अपने स्थान पर बैठाया। ॥ १०-६९-१४ ॥

तस्यावनिज्य चरणौ तदपः स्वमूर्ध्नाबिभ्रज्जगद्गुरुतरोऽपि सतां पतिर्हि । ब्रह्मण्यदेव इति यद्गुणनामयुक्तं तस्यैव यच्चरणशौचमशेषतीर्थम् ॥ १०-६९-१५ ॥
The Lord bathed Nārada’s feet and then put the water on His own head. Although Lord Kṛṣṇa is the supreme spiritual authority of the universe and the master of His devotees, it was proper for Him to behave in this way, for His name is Brahmaṇya-deva, “the Lord who favors the bṛāhmaṇas.” Thus Śrī Kṛṣṇa honored the sage Nārada by bathing his feet, even though the water that bathes the Lord’s own feet becomes the Ganges, the ultimate holy shrine. ॥ 10-69-15 ॥

भगवान ने नारद के पैरों को स्नान कराया और फिर जल को अपने सिर पर रखा। यद्यपि भगवान कृष्ण ब्रह्मांड के सर्वोच्च आध्यात्मिक अधिकारी और अपने भक्तों के स्वामी हैं, उनके लिए इस तरह से व्यवहार करना उचित था, क्योंकि उनका नाम ब्राह्मण्य-देव है, "भगवान जो ब्राह्मणों का पक्ष लेते हैं।" इस प्रकार श्री कृष्ण ने अपने पैरों को स्नान करके ऋषि नारद का सम्मान किया, भले ही भगवान के पैरों को स्नान करने वाला पानी परम पवित्र तीर्थ गंगा बन जाता है। ॥ १०-६९-१५ ॥
