धृतराष्ट्र उवाच यथा वदति कल्याणीं वाचं दानपते भवान् । तथानया न तृप्यामि मर्त्यः प्राप्य यथामृतम् ॥ १०-४९-२६ ॥
Dhṛtarāṣṭra said: O master of charity, I can never be satiated while hearing your auspicious words. Indeed, I am like a mortal who has obtained the nectar of the gods. ॥ 10-49-26 ॥
english translation
धृतराष्ट्र ने कहा : हे दानपति, मैं आपके शुभ-वचनों को सुनते हुए कभी भी तृप्त नहीं हो सकता। निस्सन्देह, मैं उस मर्त्य प्राणी की तरह हूँ जिसे देवताओं का अमृत प्राप्त हो चुका है। ॥ १०-४९-२६ ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptतथापि सूनृता सौम्य हृदि न स्थीयते चले । पुत्रानुरागविषमे विद्युत्सौदामनी यथा ॥ १०-४९-२७ ॥
Even so, gentle Akrūra, because my unsteady heart is prejudiced by affection for my sons, these pleasing words of yours cannot remain fixed there, just as lightning cannot remain fixed in a cloud. ॥ 10-49-27 ॥

फिर भी, हे भद्र अक्रूर, क्योंकि मेरा अस्थिर हृदय अपने पुत्रों के स्नेह से पक्षपातयुक्त है इसलिए आपके ये मोहक शब्द हृदय में स्थिर नहीं टिक पाते, जिस तरह बिजली बादल में स्थिर नहीं रह सकती। ॥ १०-४९-२७ ॥

Who can defy the injunctions of the Supreme Lord, who has now descended in the Yadu dynasty to diminish the earth’s burden? ॥ 10-49-28 ॥

भला उन भगवान् के आदेशों का उल्लंघन कौन कर सकता है, जो पृथ्वी का भार कम करने के लिए अब यदुवंश में अवतार ले चुके हैं? ॥ १०-४९-२८ ॥

Izvarasya vidhiM ko nu vidhunotyanyathA pumAn । bhUmerbhArAvatArAya yo'vatIrNo yadoHkule ॥ 10-49-28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयो दुर्विमर्शपथया निजमाययेदं सृष्ट्वा गुणान् विभजते तदनुप्रविष्टः । तस्मै नमो दुरवबोधविहारतन्त्रसंसारचक्रगतये परमेश्वराय ॥ १०-४९-२९ ॥
I offer my obeisances to Him, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who creates this universe by the inconceivable activity of His material energy and then distributes the various modes of nature by entering within the creation. From Him, the meaning of whose pastimes is unfathomable, come both the entangling cycle of birth and death and the process of deliverance from it. ॥ 10-49-29 ॥

मैं उन भगवान् को नमस्कार करता हूँ जो अपनी भौतिक शक्ति की अचिन्त्य क्रियाशीलता से इस ब्रह्माण्ड का सृजन करते हैं और फिर सृष्टि के भीतर प्रविष्ट होकर प्रकृति के विभिन्न गुणों को वितरित कर देते हैं। जिनकी लीलाओं का अर्थ अगाध है, उन्हीं से यह जन्म-मृत्यु का बन्धनकारी चक्र तथा उससे मोक्ष पाने की विधि उत्पन्न हुए हैं। ॥ १०-४९-२९ ॥

yo durvimarzapathayA nijamAyayedaM sRSTvA guNAn vibhajate tadanupraviSTaH । tasmai namo duravabodhavihAratantrasaMsAracakragataye paramezvarAya ॥ 10-49-29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptश्रीशुक उवाच इत्यभिप्रेत्य नृपतेरभिप्रायं स यादवः । सुहृद्भिः समनुज्ञातः पुनर्यदुपुरीमगात् ॥ १०-४९-३० ॥
Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Having thus apprised himself of the King’s attitude, Akrūra, the descendant of Yadu, took permission from his well-wishing relatives and friends and returned to the capital of the Yādavas. ॥ 10-49-30 ॥

शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने कहा, इस तरह राजा के अभिप्राय को समझकर यदुवंशी अक्रूर ने अपने शुभचिन्तक सम्बन्धियों तथा मित्रों से अनुमति ली और यादवों की राजधानी लौट आये। ॥ १०-४९-३० ॥
