याताशु बालिशा मैवं प्रार्थ्यं यदि जिजीविषा । बध्नन्ति घ्नन्ति लुम्पन्ति दृप्तं राजकुलानि वै ॥ १०-४१-३६ ॥
Fools, get out of here quickly! Don’t beg like this if You want to stay alive. When someone is too bold, the King’s men arrest him and kill him and take all his property. ॥ 10-41-36 ॥
english translation
मूर्खो, यहाँ से तुरन्त निकल जाओ। यदि तुम जीवित रहना चाहते हो तो इस तरह मत माँगो। जब कोई अत्यधिक उच्छृंखल हो जाता है, तो राजा के कर्मचारी उसे बन्दी बना लेते हैं और जान से मार डालते हैं। और उसकी सारी सम्पत्ति छीन लेते हैं। ॥ १०-४१-३६ ॥

yAtAzu bAlizA maivaM prArthyaM yadi jijIviSA । badhnanti ghnanti lumpanti dRptaM rAjakulAni vai ॥ 10-41-36 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं विकत्थमानस्य कुपितो देवकीसुतः । रजकस्य कराग्रेण शिरः कायादपातयत् ॥ १०-४१-३७ ॥
As the washerman thus spoke brazenly, the son of Devakī became angry, and then merely with His fingertips He separated the man’s head from his body. ॥ 10-41-37 ॥
english translation
जब वह धोबी इस तरह बहकी बातें बोला तो देवकी-पुत्र क्रुद्ध हो उठे और उन्होंने अपनी अँगुलियों के अगले भाग से ही उसके शरीर से उसका सिर अलग कर दिया। ॥ १०-४१-३७ ॥

evaM vikatthamAnasya kupito devakIsutaH । rajakasya karAgreNa ziraH kAyAdapAtayat ॥ 10-41-37 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्यानुजीविनः सर्वे वासः कोशान् विसृज्य वै । दुद्रुवुः सर्वतो मार्गं वासांसि जगृहेऽच्युतः ॥ १०-४१-३८ ॥
The washerman’s assistants all dropped their bundles of clothes and fled down the road, scattering in all directions. Lord Kṛṣṇa then took the clothes. ॥ 10-41-38 ॥

धोबी के नौकरों ने अपने अपने वस्त्रों के गट्ठर गिरा दिये और मार्ग से भागकर चारों ओर तितर-बितर हो गये। तब भगवान् कृष्ण ने उन वस्त्रों को ले लिया। ॥ १०-४१-३८ ॥

tasyAnujIvinaH sarve vAsaH kozAn visRjya vai । dudruvuH sarvato mArgaM vAsAMsi jagRhe'cyutaH ॥ 10-41-38 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवसित्वाऽऽत्मप्रिये वस्त्रे कृष्णः सङ्कर्षणस्तथा । शेषाण्यादत्त गोपेभ्यो विसृज्य भुवि कानिचित् ॥ १०-४१-३९ ॥
Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma put on pairs of garments that especially pleased Them, and then Kṛṣṇa distributed the remaining clothes among the cowherd boys, leaving some scattered on the ground. ॥ 10-41-39 ॥

कृष्ण तथा बलराम ने अपनी मनपसंद के वस्त्रों की जोड़ी पहन ली और तब कृष्ण ने शेष वस्त्रों को ग्वालबालों में वितरित करते हुए कुछ को भूमि पर बिखेर दिया। ॥ १०-४१-३९ ॥

Thereupon a weaver came forward and, feeling affection for the Lords, nicely adorned Their attire with cloth ornaments of various colors. ॥ 10-41-40 ॥

तत्पश्चात् एक बुनकर आया और दोनों विभूतियों के प्रति स्नेह से वशीभूत होकर विविध रंगों वाले वस्त्र-आभूषणों से उनकी पोशाकें सजा दीं। ॥ १०-४१-४० ॥
