निसृष्टः किल मे मृत्युर्देवैर्वैकुण्ठसंश्रयैः । तावानय समं गोपैर्नन्दाद्यैः साभ्युपायनैः ॥ १०-३६-३१ ॥
The demigods, who are under the protection of Viṣṇu, have sent these two boys as my death. Bring Them here, and also have Nanda and the other cowherd men come with gifts of tribute. ॥ 10-36-31 ॥
english translation
विष्णु के संरक्षण में रहने वाले देवताओं ने इन दोनों बालकों को मेरी मृत्यु के रूप में भेजा है। उन्हें यहाँ ले आइये तथा उनके साथ नन्द तथा अन्य ग्वालों को अपने अपने उपहारों समेत आने दीजिये। ॥ १०-३६-३१ ॥

घातयिष्य इहानीतौ कालकल्पेन हस्तिना । यदि मुक्तौ ततो मल्लैर्घातये वैद्युतोपमैः ॥ १०-३६-३२ ॥
After you bring Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, I will have Them killed by my elephant, who is as powerful as death itself. And if by chance They escape from him, I will have Them killed by my wrestlers, who are as strong as lightning. ॥ 10-36-32 ॥
english translation
जब आप कृष्ण तथा बलराम को ले आयेंगे तो मैं उन्हें साक्षात् मृत्यु के समान बलशाली अपने हाथी से मरवा दूँगा। यदि कदाचित् वे उससे बच जाते हैं, तो मैं उन्हें बिजली के समान प्रबल अपने पहलवानों से मरवा दूँगा। ॥ १०-३६-३२ ॥

तयोर्निहतयोस्तप्तान् वसुदेवपुरोगमान् । तद्बन्धून्निहनिष्यामि वृष्णिभोजदशार्हकान् ॥ १०-३६-३३ ॥
When these two have been killed, I will kill Vasudeva and all Their lamenting relatives — the Vṛṣṇis, Bhojas and Daśārhas. ॥ 10-36-33 ॥
english translation
जब ये दोनों मार डाले जायेंगे तो मैं वसुदेव तथा उनके सभी शोकसंतप्त सम्बन्धियों— वृष्णियों, भोजों तथा दशार्हों—का वध कर दूँगा। ॥ १०-३६-३३ ॥

उग्रसेनं च पितरं स्थविरं राज्यकामुकम् । तद्भ्रातरं देवकं च ये चान्ये विद्विषो मम ॥ १०-३६-३४ ॥
I will also kill my old father, Ugrasena, who is greedy for my kingdom, and I will kill his brother Devaka and all my other enemies as well. Text 35: Then, my friend, this earth will be free of thorns. ॥ 10-36-34 ॥

मैं अपने बूढ़े पिता उग्रसेन को भी मार डालूँगा क्योंकि वह मेरे साम्राज्य के लिए लालायित है। मैं उसके भाई देवक तथा अपने अन्य सारे शत्रुओं को भी मार डालूँगा। ॥ १०-३६-३४ ॥

ततश्चैषा मही मित्र भवित्री नष्टकण्टका । जरासन्धो मम गुरुर्द्विविदो दयितः सखा ॥ १०-३६-३५ ॥
Then, my friend, this earth will be free of thorns. My elder relative Jarāsandha and my dear friend Dvivida are solid well-wishers of mine ॥ 10-36-35 ॥

तब हे मित्र, यह पृथ्वी काँटों से मुक्त हो जायेगी। मेरा ज्येष्ठ सम्बन्धी जरासन्ध तथा मेरा प्रिय मित्र द्विविद मेरे अतीव शुभचिन्तक हैं ॥ १०-३६-३५ ॥
