आरभ्यतां धनुर्यागश्चतुर्दश्यां यथाविधि । विशसन्तु पशून् मेध्यान् भूतराजाय मीढुषे ॥ १०-३६-२६ ॥
Commence the bow sacrifice on the Caturdaśī day in accordance with the relevant Vedic injunctions. In ritual slaughter offer the appropriate kinds of animals to the magnanimous Lord Śiva. ॥ 10-36-26 ॥

वैदिक आदेशों के अनुसार चतुर्दशी के दिन धनुष यज्ञ प्रारम्भ किया जाय। वर-दानी भगवान् शिव को पशु-मेध में उपयुक्त प्रकार के पशु भेंट किये जाँय। ॥ १०-३६-२६ ॥

इत्याज्ञाप्यार्थतन्त्रज्ञ आहूय यदुपुङ्गवम् । गृहीत्वा पाणिना पाणिं ततोऽक्रूरमुवाच ह ॥ १०-३६-२७ ॥
Having thus commanded his ministers, Kaṁsa next called for Akrūra, the most eminent of the Yadus. Kaṁsa knew the art of securing personal advantage, and thus he took Akrūra’s hand in his own and spoke to him as follows. ॥ 10-36-27 ॥

अपने मंत्रियों को इस तरह आदेश दे चुकने के बाद कंस ने यदुश्रेष्ठ अक्रूर को बुलवाया। कंस निजी लाभ निकालने की कला जानता था अत: अक्रूर के हाथों को अपने हाथ में लेकर वह उससे इस प्रकार बोला। ॥ १०-३६-२७ ॥

भो भो दानपते मह्यं क्रियतां मैत्रमादृतः । नान्यस्त्वत्तो हिततमो विद्यते भोजवृष्णिषु ॥ १०-३६-२८ ॥
My dear Akrūra, most charitable one, please do me a friendly favor out of respect. Among the Bhojas and Vṛṣṇis, there is no one else as kind to us as you. ॥ 10-36-28 ॥

हे सर्वश्रेष्ठ दानी अक्रूर, आप आदर के साथ मुझ पर मित्रोचित अनुग्रह करें। भोजों तथा वृष्णियों में आपसे बढक़र कोई अन्य हम पर कृपालु नहीं है। ॥ १०-३६-२८ ॥

अतस्त्वामाश्रितः सौम्य कार्यगौरवसाधनम् । यथेन्द्रो विष्णुमाश्रित्य स्वार्थमध्यगमद्विभुः ॥ १०-३६-२९ ॥
Gentle Akrūra, you always carry out your duties soberly, and therefore I am depending on you, just as powerful Indra took shelter of Lord Viṣṇu to achieve his goals. ॥ 10-36-29 ॥

हे भद्र अक्रूर, आप सदैव अपना कर्तव्य गम्भीरतापूर्वक करने वाले हैं अतएव मैं आप पर उसी तरह आश्रित हूँ जिस तरह पराक्रमी इन्द्र ने अपना लक्ष्य प्राप्त करने के लिए भगवान् विष्णु की शरण ली थी। ॥ १०-३६-२९ ॥

गच्छ नन्दव्रजं तत्र सुतावानकदुन्दुभेः । आसाते ताविहानेन रथेनानय मा चिरम् ॥ १०-३६-३० ॥
Please go to Nanda’s village, where the two sons of Ānakadundubhi are living, and without delay bring Them here on this chariot. ॥ 10-36-30 ॥

कृपया नन्द-ग्राम जाँय जहाँ पर आनकदुन्दुभि के दोनों पुत्र रह रहे हैं और अविलम्ब उन्हें इस रथ पर चढ़ाकर यहाँ ले आयें। ॥ १०-३६-३० ॥
