इत्याज्ञाप्यार्थतन्त्रज्ञ आहूय यदुपुङ्गवम् । गृहीत्वा पाणिना पाणिं ततोऽक्रूरमुवाच ह ॥ १०-३६-२७ ॥
Having thus commanded his ministers, Kaṁsa next called for Akrūra, the most eminent of the Yadus. Kaṁsa knew the art of securing personal advantage, and thus he took Akrūra’s hand in his own and spoke to him as follows. ॥ 10-36-27 ॥

अपने मंत्रियों को इस तरह आदेश दे चुकने के बाद कंस ने यदुश्रेष्ठ अक्रूर को बुलवाया। कंस निजी लाभ निकालने की कला जानता था अत: अक्रूर के हाथों को अपने हाथ में लेकर वह उससे इस प्रकार बोला। ॥ १०-३६-२७ ॥
