पुनरासाद्य संरब्ध उपक्रोष्टा पराक्स्थितः । चरणावपरौ राजन् बलाय प्राक्षिपद्रुषा ।। १०-१५-३१ ।।

Moving again toward Lord Balarāma, O King, the furious ass situated himself with his back toward the Lord. Then, screaming in rage, the demon hurled his two hind legs at Him. ।। 10-15-31 ।।

english translation

हे राजन्, वह क्रुद्ध गधा फिर से बलराम की ओर बढ़ा और अपनी पीठ उनकी ओर करके खड़ा हो गया। तत्पश्चात् क्रोध से रेंकते हुए उस असुर ने उन पर दुलत्ती चलाई। ।। १०-१५-३१ ।।

Lord Balarāma seized Dhenuka by his hooves, whirled him about with one hand and threw him into the top of a palm tree. The violent wheeling motion killed the demon. ।। 10-15-32 ।।

english translation

बलराम ने धेनुक के खुर पकड़े, उसे एक हाथ से घुमाया और ताड़वृक्ष की चोटी पर फेंक दिया। इस तरह तेजी से घुमाने के कारण वह असुर मर गया। ।। १०-१५-३२ ।।

तेनाहतो महातालो वेपमानो बृहच्छिराः । पार्श्वस्थं कम्पयन् भग्नः स चान्यं सोऽपि चापरम् ।। १०-१५-३३ ।।

sanskrit

Lord Balarāma threw the dead body of Dhenukāsura into the tallest palm tree in the forest, and when the dead demon landed in the treetop, the tree began shaking. The great palm tree, causing a tree by its side also to shake, broke under the weight of the demon. The neighboring tree caused yet another tree to shake, and this one struck yet another tree, which also began shaking. In this way many trees in the forest shook and broke. ।। 10-15-33 ।।

english translation

बलराम ने धेनुकासुर के मृत शरीर को जंगल के सबसे ऊँचे ताड़ वृक्ष के ऊपर फेंक दिया और जब यह मृत शरीर उस वृक्ष की चोटी पर जा गिरा तो वह वृक्ष हिलने लगा। इस विशाल वृक्ष से पास का एक अन्य वृक्ष भी चरमराया और असुर के भार के कारण टूट गया। इसके निकट का वृक्ष भी इसी तरह हिल कर टूट गया। इस तरह एक एक करके जंगल के अनेक वृक्ष हिले और टूट गये। ।। १०-१५-३३ ।।

Because of Lord Balarāma’s pastime of throwing the body of the ass demon into the top of the tallest palm tree, all the trees began shaking and striking against one another as if blown about by powerful winds. ।। 10-15-34 ।।

english translation

बलराम द्वारा इस गर्दभ असुर के शरीर को सबसे ऊँचे ताड़वृक्ष के ऊपर फेंकने की लीला से सारे वृक्ष चरमराने लगे और एक दूसरे से भिडऩे लगे मानो प्रबल झंझा के द्वारा झकझोरे गये हों। ।। १०-१५-३४ ।।

My dear Parīkṣit, that Lord Balarāma killed Dhenukāsura is not such a wonderful thing, considering that He is the unlimited Personality of Godhead, the controller of the entire universe. Indeed, the entire cosmos rests upon Him just as a woven cloth rests upon its own horizontal and vertical threads. ।। 10-15-35 ।।

english translation

हे परीक्षित, बलराम को अनन्त भगवान् एवं सम्पूर्ण ब्रह्माण्ड का नियन्ता जान लेने पर बलराम द्वारा धेनुकासुर का मारा जाना उतना आश्चर्यजनक नहीं है। निस्सन्देह, सम्पूर्ण ब्रह्माण्ड उन पर उसी प्रकार टिका है, जिस तरह बुना हुआ वस्त्र तानों-बानों पर टिका रहता है। ।। १०-१५-३५ ।।
