फलविक्रयिणी तस्य च्युतधान्यं करद्वयम् । फलैरपूरयद्रत्नैः फलभाण्डमपूरि च ।। १०-११-११ ।।

sanskrit

While Kṛṣṇa was going to the fruit vendor very hastily, most of the grains He was holding fell. Nonetheless, the fruit vendor filled Kṛṣṇa’s hands with fruits, and her fruit basket was immediately filled with jewels and gold. ।। 10-11-11 ।।

english translation

जब कृष्ण तेजी से फलवाली के पास जा रहे थे तो उनकी अँजुली में भरा बहुत-सा अन्न गिर गया। फिर भी फलवाली ने उनके दोनों हाथों को फलों से भर दिया। उधर उसकी फल की टोकरी तुरन्त रत्नों तथा सोने से भर गई। ।। १०-११-११ ।।

सरित्तीरगतं कृष्णं भग्नार्जुनमथाह्वयत् । रामं च रोहिणीदेवी क्रीडन्तं बालकैर्भृशम् ।। १०-११-१२ ।।

sanskrit

Once, after the uprooting of the yamala-arjuna trees, Rohiṇīdevī went to call Rāma and Kṛṣṇa, who had both gone to the riverside and were playing with the other boys with deep attention. ।। 10-11-12 ।।

english translation

यमलार्जुन वृक्षों के उखड़ जाने के बाद एक बार रोहिणीदेवी राम तथा कृष्ण को, जो नदी के किनारे गये हुए थे और अन्य बालकों के साथ बड़े ध्यान से खेल रहे थे, बुलाने गईं। ।। १०-११-१२ ।।

नोपेयातां यदाऽऽहूतौ क्रीडासङ्गेन पुत्रकौ । यशोदां प्रेषयामास रोहिणी पुत्रवत्सलाम् ।। १०-११-१३ ।।

sanskrit

Because of being too attached to playing with the other boys, Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma did not return upon being called by Rohiṇī. Therefore Rohiṇī sent mother Yaśodā to call Them back, because mother Yaśodā was more affectionate to Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma. ।। 10-11-13 ।।

english translation

अन्य बालकों के साथ खेलने में अत्यधिक अनुरक्त होने के कारण वे रोहिणी के बुलाने पर वापस नहीं आये। अत: रोहिणी ने उन्हें वापस बुलाने के लिए माता यशोदा को भेजा क्योंकि वे कृष्ण तथा बलराम के प्रति अत्यधिक स्नेहिल थीं। ।। १०-११-१३ ।।

क्रीडन्तं सा सुतं बालैरतिवेलं सहाग्रजम् । यशोदाजोहवीत्कृष्णं पुत्रस्नेहस्नुतस्तनी ।। १०-११-१४ ।।

sanskrit

Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, being attached to Their play, were playing with the other boys although it was very late. Therefore mother Yaśodā called Them back for lunch. Because of her ecstatic love and affection for Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, milk flowed from her breasts. ।। 10-11-14 ।।

english translation

यद्यपि बहुत देर हो चुकी थी किन्तु कृष्ण तथा बलराम अपने खेल में अनुरक्त होने के कारण अन्य बालकों के साथ खेलते रहे। इसलिए अब माता यशोदा ने भोजन करने के लिए उन्हें बुलाया। कृष्ण तथा बलराम के प्रति उत्कट प्रेम तथा स्नेह होने से उनके स्तनों से दूध बहने लगा। ।। १०-११-१४ ।।

कृष्ण कृष्णारविन्दाक्ष तात एहि स्तनं पिब । अलं विहारैः क्षुत्क्षान्तः क्रीडाश्रान्तोऽसि पुत्रक ।। १०-११-१५ ।।

sanskrit

Mother Yaśodā said: My dear son Kṛṣṇa, lotus-eyed Kṛṣṇa, come here and drink the milk of my breast. My dear darling, You must be very tired because of hunger and the fatigue of playing so long. There is no need to play any more. ।। 10-11-15 ।।

english translation

माता यशोदा ने कहा : हे प्रिय पुत्र कृष्ण, कमलनयन कृष्ण, यहाँ आओ और मेरा दूध पियो। हे प्यारे, तुम भूख से तथा इतनी देर तक खेलने से बहुत थक गये होगे। अब और अधिक खेलना जरूरी नहीं। ।। १०-११-१५ ।।
