ततस्तस्मिन्महाबाहो कोपसंवर्तितेक्षणः । वायसे त्वं कृथाः क्रूरां मतिं मतिमतां वर ॥ ५-६७-११
'O longarmed, wise and revered Rama, then in anguish you took a cruel decision. ॥ 5-67-11॥
english translation
tatastasminmahAbAho kopasaMvartitekSaNaH । vAyase tvaM kRthAH krUrAM matiM matimatAM vara ॥ 5-67-11
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस दर्भं संस्तराद्गृह्य ब्रह्मास्त्रेण ह्ययोजयः । स दीप्त इव कालाग्निर्जज्वालाभिमुखः खगम् ॥ ५-६७-१२
'You took out a blade of grass from your mat and chanted the mantra to invoke the weapon of Brahma (Brahmastra) and hurled it on the crow. It blazed like the fire of the doom's day. ॥ 5-67-12॥
english translation
sa darbhaM saMstarAdgRhya brahmAstreNa hyayojayaH । sa dIpta iva kAlAgnirjajvAlAbhimukhaH khagam ॥ 5-67-12
hk transliteration by Sanscriptक्षिप्तवांस्त्वं प्रदीप्तं हि दर्भं तं वायसं प्रति । ततस्तु वायसं दीप्तस्स दर्भोऽनुजगाम ह ॥ ५-६७-१३
'You hurled the blazing blade of grass on to the crow. That burning blade of grass chased the crow. ॥ 5-67-13॥

kSiptavAMstvaM pradIptaM hi darbhaM taM vAyasaM prati । tatastu vAyasaM dIptassa darbho'nujagAma ha ॥ 5-67-13
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस पित्रा च परित्यक्तस्सुरैश्च समहर्षिभिः । त्रीन् लोकान् सम्परिक्रम्य त्रातारं नाधिगच्छति ॥ ५-६७-१४
'He was abandoned by his father, even by great sages and gods. Then he went round the three worlds but could not find a saviour. ॥ 5-67-14॥

sa pitrA ca parityaktassuraizca samaharSibhiH । trIn lokAn samparikramya trAtAraM nAdhigacchati ॥ 5-67-14
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुनरेवागतस्त्रस्तस्त्वत्सकाशमरिंदम । स तं निपतितं भूमौ शरण्यश्शरणागतम् ॥ ५-६७-१५
'O destroyer of enemies the crow came back again to you trembling seeking protection from you and fell on the ground. ॥ 5-67-15॥
