वधार्हमपि काकुत्स्थ कृपया पर्यपालयः । मोघमस्त्रं न शक्यं तु कर्तुमित्येव राघव ॥ ५-६७-१६
'Even though it deserved to be slayed, you saved him out of compassion. O Rama since a divine weapon cannot be withdrawn - ॥ 5-67-16॥
english translation
vadhArhamapi kAkutstha kRpayA paryapAlayaH । moghamastraM na zakyaM tu kartumityeva rAghava ॥ 5-67-16
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभवांस्तस्याक्षि काकस्य हिनस्ति स्म स दक्षिणम् । राम त्वां स नमस्कृत्य राज्ञे दशरथाय च ॥ ५-६७-१७

bhavAMstasyAkSi kAkasya hinasti sma sa dakSiNam । rAma tvAM sa namaskRtya rAjJe dazarathAya ca ॥ 5-67-17
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविसृष्टस्तु तदा काक प्रतिपेदे स्वमालयम् । एवमस्त्रविदां श्रेष्ठस्सत्त्ववान् शीलवानपि ॥ ५-६७-१८
- after being left without killing. Thereafter that crow returned to his abode. You are efficient, foremost among wielders of weapons, truthful and powerful. ॥ 5-67-18॥

visRSTastu tadA kAka pratipede svamAlayam । evamastravidAM zreSThassattvavAn zIlavAnapi ॥ 5-67-18
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकिमर्थमस्त्रं रक्षस्सु न योजयति राघवः । न नागा नापि गन्धर्वा नासुरा न मरुद्गणाः ॥ ५-६७-१९
'O Raghav why are you not directing weapons against the demons? Neither the Nagas the celestials serpents nor even Gandharvas the celestial musicians nor the demons nor the troop of Maruts the host of gods - ॥ 5-67-19॥
english translation
kimarthamastraM rakSassu na yojayati rAghavaH । na nAgA nApi gandharvA nAsurA na marudgaNAH ॥ 5-67-19
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन च सर्वे रणे शक्ता रामं प्रतिसमासितुम् । तस्य वीर्यवतः कश्चिद्यद्यस्ति मयि सम्भ्रमः ॥ ५-६७-२०
- nor all of them joined together are capable of fighting with Rama. If you (powerful Rama) have any anxiety about me - ॥ 5-67-20॥

na ca sarve raNe zaktA rAmaM pratisamAsitum । tasya vIryavataH kazcidyadyasti mayi sambhramaH ॥ 5-67-20
