अथ रक्षांसि भीमानि महान्ति बलवन्ति च । कथञ्चित्सांपराये त्वां जयेयुः कपिसत्तम ॥ ५-३७-५१
'O noble monkey the massive, fearsome and powerful demons may defeat you in the fight in any way. ॥ 5-37-51॥
english translation
atha rakSAMsi bhImAni mahAnti balavanti ca । kathaJcitsAMparAye tvAM jayeyuH kapisattama ॥ 5-37-51
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथवा युध्यमानस्य पतेयं विमुखस्य ते । पतितां च गृहीत्वा मां नयेयुः पापराक्षसाः ॥ ५-३७-५२
'Or else, while you are engaged in fighting and turn your attention the other way I might fall down and the sinful ogres may bear me away. ॥ 5-37-52॥
english translation
athavA yudhyamAnasya pateyaM vimukhasya te । patitAM ca gRhItvA mAM nayeyuH pAparAkSasAH ॥ 5-37-52
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमां वा हरेयुस्त्वद्धस्ताद्विशसेयुरथापि वा । अव्यवस्थौ हि दृश्येते युद्धे जयपराजयौ ॥ ५-३७-५३
'They may snatch me away from your hands or cut me to pieces. Success or defeat is uncertain in a war. ॥ 5-37-53॥

mAM vA hareyustvaddhastAdvizaseyurathApi vA । avyavasthau hi dRzyete yuddhe jayaparAjayau ॥ 5-37-53
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअहं वापि विपद्येयं रक्षोभिरभितर्जिता । त्वत्प्रयत्नो हरिश्रेष्ठ भवेन्निष्फल एव तु ॥ ५-३७-५४
'In such a case, caught and intimidated by the demons I may die. Then your efforts will be wasted. ॥ 5-37-54॥

ahaM vApi vipadyeyaM rakSobhirabhitarjitA । tvatprayatno harizreSTha bhavenniSphala eva tu ॥ 5-37-54
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकामं त्वमसि पर्याप्तो निहन्तुं सर्वराक्षसान् । राघवस्य यशो हीयेत्त्वया शस्तैस्तु राक्षसैः ॥ ५-३७-५५
'It may be that you can kill all the demons but by such an act the fame of Rama will be diminished. (He cannot give his strength a trial). ॥ 5-37-55॥

kAmaM tvamasi paryApto nihantuM sarvarAkSasAn । rAghavasya yazo hIyettvayA zastaistu rAkSasaiH ॥ 5-37-55
