न विनश्येत्कथं कार्यं वैक्लब्यं न कथं भवेत् । लङ्घनं च समुद्रस्य कथं नु न वृथा भवेत् ॥ ५-२-४१
'How should the task be performed? How to avoid impetuousness? How can my purpose of crossing the ocean be not wasted? ॥ 5-2-41॥
english translation
na vinazyetkathaM kAryaM vaiklabyaM na kathaM bhavet । laGghanaM ca samudrasya kathaM nu na vRthA bhavet ॥ 5-2-41
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमयि दृष्टे तु रक्षोभी रामस्य विदितात्मनः । भवेद्व्यर्थमिदं कार्यं रावणानर्थमिच्छतः ॥ ५-२-४२
'If I am seen by the demons, the plan of Rama, possessor of self-knowledge, to kill Ravana, will be wasted. ॥ 5-2-42॥
english translation
mayi dRSTe tu rakSobhI rAmasya viditAtmanaH । bhavedvyarthamidaM kAryaM rAvaNAnarthamicchataH ॥ 5-2-42
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन हि शक्यं क्वचित् स्थातुमविज्ञातेन राक्षसैः । अपि राक्षसरूपेण किमुतान्येन केनचित् ॥ ५-२-४३
'It is difficult to stay with the demon anywhere here even in the disguise of a demon without being identified. It will not be possible to remain unidentified even by assuming any other form. ॥ 5-2-43॥
english translation
na hi zakyaM kvacit sthAtumavijJAtena rAkSasaiH । api rAkSasarUpeNa kimutAnyena kenacit ॥ 5-2-43
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवायुरप्यत्र नाज्ञातश्चरेदिति मतिर्मम । न ह्य स्त्यविदितं किञ्चिद्राक्षसानां बलीयसाम् ॥ ५-२-४४
'I think even the wind who has no form cannot move here without being detected. Nothing escapes the notice of powerful demons. There is nothing unknown to them. ॥ 5-2-44॥

vAyurapyatra nAjJAtazcarediti matirmama । na hya styaviditaM kiJcidrAkSasAnAM balIyasAm ॥ 5-2-44
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइहाहं यदि तिष्ठामि स्वेन रूपेण संवृतः । विनाशमुपयास्यामि भर्तुरर्थश्च हीयते ॥ ५-२-४५
'I will surely meet with death if I hide here in my original form and my master's mission also will be spoilt. ॥ 5-2-45॥

ihAhaM yadi tiSThAmi svena rUpeNa saMvRtaH । vinAzamupayAsyAmi bharturarthazca hIyate ॥ 5-2-45
