किं नु सीताऽथ वैदेही मैथिली जनकात्मजा । उपतिष्ठेत विवशा रावणं दुष्टचारिणम् ॥ ५-१३-६
'Can it be that Mythili, daughter of Janaka, dejected and helpless succumbed to the evil intentions of Ravana. ॥ 5-13-6॥
english translation
kiM nu sItA'tha vaidehI maithilI janakAtmajA । upatiSTheta vivazA rAvaNaM duSTacAriNam ॥ 5-13-6
hk transliteration by Sanscriptक्षिप्रमुत्पततो मन्ये सीतामादाय रक्षसः । बिभ्यतो रामबाणानामन्तरा पतिता भवेत् ॥ ५-१३-७
'Or, perhaps she might have been dropped midway from the hold of Ravana while he was flying at great speed, afraid of the deadly arrows of Rama? ॥ 5-13-7॥
english translation
kSipramutpatato manye sItAmAdAya rakSasaH । bibhyato rAmabANAnAmantarA patitA bhavet ॥ 5-13-7
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथवा ह्रियमाणायाः पथि सिद्धनिषेविते । मन्ये पतितमार्याया हृदयं प्रेक्ष्य सागरम् ॥ ५-१३-८
'Or, perhaps while being borne away on the path frequented by siddhas, the beloved of Rama might have fallen down (dead), heart broken, on seeing the (vast) sea. ॥ 5-13-8॥
english translation
athavA hriyamANAyAH pathi siddhaniSevite । manye patitamAryAyA hRdayaM prekSya sAgaram ॥ 5-13-8
hk transliteration by Sanscriptरावणस्योरुवेगेन भुजाभ्यां पीडितेन च । तया मन्ये विशालाक्ष्या त्यक्तं जीवितमार्यया ॥ ५-१३-९
'He thinks, on account of the high speed during the flight of Ravana under the pressure of his arms, the noble, large eyed lady might have given up her life. ॥ 5-13-9॥

rAvaNasyoruvegena bhujAbhyAM pIDitena ca । tayA manye vizAlAkSyA tyaktaM jIvitamAryayA ॥ 5-13-9
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउपर्युपरि वा नूनं सागरं क्रमतस्तदा । विवेष्टमाना पतिता सागरे जनकात्मजा ॥ ५-१३-१०
'Surely, she might have fallen into the sea while wriggling in her effort to extricate herself from the hold of Ravana as he was flying over the sea. ॥ 5-13-10॥

uparyupari vA nUnaM sAgaraM kramatastadA । viveSTamAnA patitA sAgare janakAtmajA ॥ 5-13-10
