सन्ध्यया समभिस्पृष्टं यथा तत्सूर्यमण्डलम् । लाङ्गूलं च समाविद्धं प्लवमानस्य शोभते ॥ ५-१-६१
- looked red like the Sun's orb coming close at twilight. As he (the son of the Wind-god) was flying, his coiled up tail looked splendid . - ॥ 5-1-61॥
english translation
sandhyayA samabhispRSTaM yathA tatsUryamaNDalam । lAGgUlaM ca samAviddhaM plavamAnasya zobhate ॥ 5-1-61
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअम्बरे वायुपुत्रस्य शक्रध्वज इवोच्छ्रितम् । लाङ्गूलचक्रेण महान् शुक्लदंष्ट्रोऽनिलात्मजः ॥ ५-१-६२
- through the sky like the banner installed at the festival in honour of Indra (on the fifteenth day of the month of Bhadrapada). With his white teeth and curled up tail, the great son of the Wind-god - ॥ 5-1-62॥
english translation
ambare vAyuputrasya zakradhvaja ivocchritam । lAGgUlacakreNa mahAn zukladaMSTro'nilAtmajaH ॥ 5-1-62
hk transliteration by Sanscriptव्यरोचत महाप्राज्ञः परिवेषीव भास्करः । स्फिग्देशेनाभिताम्रेण रराज स महाकपिः ॥ ५-१-६३
- very wise one looked like the halo of the Sun-god. The great monkey with copper-red buttocks (other parts being dark) looked splendid . - ॥ 5-1-63॥

vyarocata mahAprAjJaH pariveSIva bhAskaraH । sphigdezenAbhitAmreNa rarAja sa mahAkapiH ॥ 5-1-63
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमहता दारितेनेव गिरिर्गैरिकधातुना । तस्य वानरसिंहस्य प्लवमानस्य सागरम् ॥ ५-१-६४
- like a cleft mountain with a huge deposit of minerals shining red. While the lion-like vanara crossing the ocean . - ॥ 5-1-64॥

mahatA dAriteneva girirgairikadhAtunA । tasya vAnarasiMhasya plavamAnasya sAgaram ॥ 5-1-64
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकक्षान्तरगतो वायुर्जीमूत इव गर्जति । खे यथा निपतत्युल्का ह्युत्तरान्ताद्विनिःसृता ॥ ५-१-६५
- the wind passing through his arm pits sounded like a thundering cloud. Like a meteor risen in the north along with its tail-end falling down the sky . - ॥ 5-1-65॥

kakSAntaragato vAyurjImUta iva garjati । khe yathA nipatatyulkA hyuttarAntAdviniHsRtA ॥ 5-1-65
