श्रमं च प्लवगेन्द्रस्य समीक्ष्योत्थातुमर्हसि । हिरण्यनाभो मैनाको निशम्य लवणाम्भसः ॥ ५-१-१०१

zramaM ca plavagendrasya samIkSyotthAtumarhasi । hiraNyanAbho mainAko nizamya lavaNAmbhasaH ॥ 5-1-101
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउत्पपात जलात्तूर्णं महाद्रुमलतायुतः । स सागरजलं भित्त्वा बभूवाभ्युत्थितस्तदा ॥ ५-१-१०२
- covered with trees and creepers rose up at once from the water. Then the mountain rose up from the water of the ocean . - ॥ 5-1-102॥

utpapAta jalAttUrNaM mahAdrumalatAyutaH । sa sAgarajalaM bhittvA babhUvAbhyutthitastadA ॥ 5-1-102
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयथा जलधरं भित्त्वा दीप्तरश्मिर्दिवाकरः । स महात्मा मुहूर्तेन सर्वतः सलिलावृतः ॥ ५-१-१०३
- just as the rising Sun comes out with glowing rays tearing the veil of dark clouds. Hitherto submerged in the water, in a moment the lofty mountain . - ॥ 5-1-103॥

yathA jaladharaM bhittvA dIptarazmirdivAkaraH । sa mahAtmA muhUrtena sarvataH salilAvRtaH ॥ 5-1-103
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदर्शयामास शृङ्गाणि सागरेण नियोजितः । आदित्योदयसङ्काशैरालिखद्भिरिवाम्बरम् ॥ ५-१-१०४
- appeared, projecting its peaks at the instance of Varuna (the presiding deity of the ocean). Resembling the rising Sun as though scraping the sky - ॥ 5-1-104॥

darzayAmAsa zRGgANi sAgareNa niyojitaH । AdityodayasaGkAzairAlikhadbhirivAmbaram ॥ 5-1-104
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशातकुम्भमयैः शृङ्गैः सकिन्नरमहोरगैः । तप्तजाम्बूनदैः शृङ्गैः पर्वतस्य समुत्थितैः ॥ ५-१-१०५
- the golden peaks were inhabited by nagas and kinnaras. Because of the peaks of the mountain which rose up and which was like molten gold . - ॥ 5-1-105॥

zAtakumbhamayaiH zRGgaiH sakinnaramahoragaiH । taptajAmbUnadaiH zRGgaiH parvatasya samutthitaiH ॥ 5-1-105
