सततं संकुलं श्रीमद्ब्रह्मकल्पैर्महात्मभिः । अब्भक्षैर्वायुभक्षैश्च शिर्णपर्णाशनैस्तथा ॥ १-५१-२६
- which hermitage was bustling with the activity of great-souled sages who were comparable to Brahma, among whom some subsist on water alone, and some on air alone, likewise some more on dry leaves - ॥ 1-51-26॥
english translation
satataM saMkulaM zrImadbrahmakalpairmahAtmabhiH । abbhakSairvAyubhakSaizca zirNaparNAzanaistathA ॥ 1-51-26
hk transliteration by Sanscriptफलमूलाशनैर्दान्तैर्जितदोषैर्जितेन्द्रियैः । ऋषिभिर्वालखिल्यैश्च जपहोमपरायणैः ॥ १-५१-२७
-while some on fruits and tubers. That hermitage was occupied with particular sages like Vaalakhilyaa-s, who were all self-controlled, who had overcame their peccabilites, who had overpowered their senses. While everyone of the inmates were engaged in meditations and oblations into Ritual-fire - ॥ 1-51-27॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptअन्यैर्वैखानसैश्चैव समन्तादुपशोभितम् । वसिष्ठस्याश्रमपदं ब्रह्मलोकमिवापरम् । ददर्श जयतां श्रेष्ठो विश्वामित्रो महाबलम् ॥ १-५१-२८
- also with others like Vaikhaanasa-s, whole of the perimeter of that hermitage was brightened and rendered splendent. Highly powerful Vishvaamitra, foremost among the conquerors, (thus) saw the hermitage of Vasishta which looked like another Brahmaloka. ( Thus Sage Shataananda continued his narration ). ॥ 1-51-28॥

anyairvaikhAnasaizcaiva samantAdupazobhitam । vasiSThasyAzramapadaM brahmalokamivAparam । dadarza jayatAM zreSTho vizvAmitro mahAbalam ॥ 1-51-28
