नखदंष्ट्रायुधाः सर्वे सर्वे सर्वास्त्रकोविदाः । विचालयेयुः शैलेन्द्रान् भेदयेयुः स्थिरान् द्रुमान् ॥ १-१७-२६
- and all have their nails and claws as their weapons, yet all were experts in all kind of weapons. They could shake mountains and uproot deep-rooted trees. ॥ 1-17-26॥
english translation
nakhadaMSTrAyudhAH sarve sarve sarvAstrakovidAH । vicAlayeyuH zailendrAn bhedayeyuH sthirAn drumAn ॥ 1-17-26
hk transliteration by Sanscriptक्षोभयेयुश्च वेगेन समुद्रं सरितां पतिम् । दारयेयुः क्षितिं पद्भ्यामाप्लवेयुर्महार्णवम् ॥ १-१७-२७
With their speed they could cause disturbance to Samudra, the lord of the rivers. They could shatter the ground with their two feet, leap and cross over great oceans - ॥ 1-17-27॥

kSobhayeyuzca vegena samudraM saritAM patim । dArayeyuH kSitiM padbhyAmAplaveyurmahArNavam ॥ 1-17-27
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनभस्थलं विशेयुश्च गृह्णीयुरपि तोयदान् । गृह्णीयुरपि मातंगान् मत्तान् प्रव्रजतो वने ॥ १-१७-२८
They could enter the sky and even seize the clouds.They could catch ruttish elephants that tumultuously move in forests - ॥ 1-17-28॥
english translation
nabhasthalaM vizeyuzca gRhNIyurapi toyadAn । gRhNIyurapi mAtaMgAn mattAn pravrajato vane ॥ 1-17-28
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनर्दमानाश्च नादेन पातयेयुर्विहंगमान् । ईदृशानां प्रसूतानि हरीणां कामरूपिणाम् ॥ १-१७-२९
- and just with the sound of their blare they could make sky flying birds to fall. Vaanaras, capable of assuming any form at will - ॥ 1-17-29॥

nardamAnAzca nAdena pAtayeyurvihaMgamAn । IdRzAnAM prasUtAni harINAM kAmarUpiNAm ॥ 1-17-29
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशतं शतसहस्राणि यूथपानां महात्मनाम् । ते प्रधानेषु यूथेषु हरीणां हरियूथपाः ॥ १-१७-३०
- were noble souled, procreated in millions of numbers as the chiefs of warriors. Those vanara generals who took birth thus became the prominent generals among the principle battalions of monkeys - ॥ 1-17-30॥

zataM zatasahasrANi yUthapAnAM mahAtmanAm । te pradhAneSu yUtheSu harINAM hariyUthapAH ॥ 1-17-30
